Exactly... what's so special about crash anyway?

Odds are that a great platformer with Crash, and his various gameplay tropes and characters and themes will do better than a great platformer built off an entirely new ip, especially if it's only on Sony consoles. People already care about Crash.

And it's not as if sales skew massively one way like it does with Japanese games and PS4. EA loses if they make that move.

It's generally being outsold by GTAV (expected) and FC4 pretty much everywhere. And in some cases other games are above it. It's surprising given that it's the first major RPG of the current gen. But as pointed out it doesn't really seem like it's received much marketing, which is strange since it received a ton of praise from gamers and reviewers. It kinda just seems like it was tossed out during the holidays.

i remember through dev we always had a hard time explaining to people the damage regeneration mechanic and how to get from point a to b in a car haha. nightmare but loved the game.

Strangely enough, all of this hype is getting me less excited because it's increasing the odds of the weekend events under-delivering
