Last one I make, I'm off to bed (if anyone wants to keep updating the picture feel free to do so)

I think if they announce Wip4Out I'll have a heart attack.

Same here :D I'd seriously lose my shit. Studio Liverpool closing still hurts to this day

I'm talking about the people on twitch telling me to go to bed, and to spill the beans :P

Phaedros
Eliminatoreload

Haha!

You can spill your beans to me, if you'd like. I prefer cool beans, as I usually nod to things of interest with them. I accept PMs and credit cards. Your choice of payment.

Well, I am glad to be corrected on that point. I suppose they are just mediocre and forgettable on their own. Yes, I played through portions of the first title. It wasnt enjoyable enough to finish.

That's fine, but I'll agree Crash 1 is somewhat mediocre. The controls aren't precise and the level design can be very difficult and frustrating. Definitely does not compare to superiority that is based Crash Bandicoot 2.

IF they made a new Crash, how would you like it to be made? Use the graphical abilities to their fullest, or make a unique art style (a la Rayman Origins)? As much as people like the original Crash design, I don't think it'll translate well onto PS4 unless they go the unique art style route.

Oh man, I have thought about this enough to have made legit blueprints detailing the next CB game. If it even gets made, you know where to find me developers.

Well, there goes the remainder of your credibility on the topic of Crash.

Any chance Sony announces a crossover game with Crash, Spyro, Jak & Daxter, Ratchet & Clank, Sly Cooper, Gex, Croc, Tomba, Blasto and Klonoa?

I feel Knack's engine with some tweaks would be perfect for Crash.

Hmm... not sure if serious.

You really think fighting a format war has worked out for them?

Have you seen the state of their financials almost ten years later?

Hardly think it is the format war that is the cause of their financial problems

Sony have done great with blu ray imo, their problems have been long into the 90s due to a past stubborn ignorant president, the restructuring just recently began

Do you think they would have been better off had HD DVD won that war?
I think they would have been better off not having a dog in that fight, yes.

To answer your question further, I am absolutely positive that PS3 would've been better off with a DVD drive just as the Xbox 360 was.

Sony was far too charitable in selling $600 Blu-ray players. Sony should've been selling a $400 video game player like it is with the PS4.

And that's why Sony wont make another Crash.

Knack?

But seriously, If Sony doesnt feel they have the time for their developers to reignite Crash then they should leave the franchise alone and concentrate on their already great IPs

The risk will be by far greater than the reward when bringing back crash, Rather Activision deals with it first

Haha, are you one of those people who thinks I need to beat the entire game before I can say it isn't good?

I think it's fair to say your opinion is of limited relevance given your experience with the series. Personally, I wouldn't presume to call a game series "not good" if I had only limited contact with it. I'd be comfortable stating it's "probably not for me" but that's about it.

(I say this as someone who thinks the games were fine at the time but not worth revisiting now, if that matters.)

This is true. If they fuck up, they'll get destroyed. Who could they get to develop Crash and know for sure it would come out good?

Still I prefer the PS3 with Bluray, remember 2 cds for GTA V for the 360, yet one for the PS3

Sony suffered with the PS3 but it wasnt solely on Bluray, and they were still able to come back great on the system, beating the 360

Thats a fair point. They prolly sold more consoles because of it though. Even if it hurt them financially I think it was a good move. They did end up turning profit after a few years didn't they?
Lol. You sure don't like that attention.
Let the man have his fun.

I like how almost no one has discussed new IPs at PSX outside of Guerilla and Capcom...not like there arent thousands of other companies

I super failed in keeping up with this thread.

I did fine for 100+ pages though =P

Keep it up guys, scientists proved that the more hype you generate the higher the chances for the event to be amazing.

In a perfect world, Toshiba and Sony would have merged in order to take on the Microsoft colossus, and HD-DVD would've become the 1080p bearer while Blu-ray would be just now being introduced to usher in the 4k era.
