CM Punk tells all about walking out of WWE (podcast)

What did Punk say about Jericho? I listened to the podcast, but perhaps I was distracted that moment...

He said that he didn't really trust talking to certain guys in the locker room (like Jericho) because he wasn't sure if they were genuinely concerned and wanted to talk, or if they just wanted something to talk about on their podcast.

He said on his podcast that revealed secrets about other Wrestlers....

What secrets?

That Ryback was/is probably still a clumsy worker?
We knew that already.

That Triple H cared more about putting himself over rather than helping elevate Punk?
We knew that already.

That part timers coming in and being put over on guys that they should be building up, but having little to no payoff is bad for business?
We knew that already.

Jericho recently stated that he tried to contact Punk many times through text messages and didn't get any response, he thought they were friends. Punk said in the podcast in regards to the dirtsheets reporting the Jericho stuff that he stopped talking to people who have an agenda. My guess is Jericho either asked Punk to come onto his podcast or asked Punk questions through text regarding leaving.

If it was a work, I don't think he would have called Ryback steroid guy. At the same time, I can't seem yo find a doctor Bateman in Tampa, but I guess he could just be using a fill in name.

Did you see what punk said about Jeff Hardy? In the ring? To his face?

He called Ryback steroid guy. He would never do that if it was a work.

I don't really watch wrestling, but I kind of follow it. If it's true, then there is the definite possibility that this is a work. Would be amazing if it was. I would start watching wrestling again. Still, I think steroids are too much of a touchy subject for the WWE to bring it up.

Ryback being on roids and Jeff Hardy being called out for his history of drug abuse after it was already pretty much public knowledge is VERY far off from airing out stories of literal medical malpractice that can really get the WWE in deep waters.

Try not to buy into the typical pro wrestling nonsense of "everything is probably a work" like others in this thread do.

Austin was very right to shoot down programs in 1999 with Billy Gunn and Jeff Jarrett. Gunn's summer program with The Rock was so awful, they hit the panic button and randomly turned him back babyface to reunite the Outlaws.

Oh, he was.

The same way Cena should've turned down facing Ziggler years ago.

so i've never watched wrestling but i listened to this for some reason. wrestling drama is fascinating and i'd probably watch it if the actual product wasn't terrible most of the time.

-based on the promos linked in the thread cm punk seems way more entertaining than the people who got pushed harder. loved his fourth wall breaking stuff.
-there's no doubt in my mind he's a douchebag but he's straightforward about it
-he said in the podcast the spot on his back was "green and purple" and you can see a pretty gnarly bruise on his back in multiple pictures. whether or not it's mrsa i can't say cause i'm not a doctor, but there's def a spot like he described at the waistband of his trunks.
-i'm really confused why everyone calls hhh hunter if his real name is paul. what's wrestling protocol for ring name versus real name?

He's a huge douchebag and was well before he was a big star in wrestling. He was the same douche on the independent scene. Probably a bigger one to fans back then, at least.

It's protocol for fans to call wrestlers by their wrestling names, not real names. Most wrestlers usually call each other by their wrestling names as well. HHH is kind of different because he's also the actual COO of the company and is referred to by his real name in all business memos/announcements.

so hhh gets shortened to hunter because "triple h" is a weird mouthful. that makes sense.

No. He gets called Hunter because his original name was Hunter Hearst Helmsley, which was then shorted to Triple H. But he's still called Hunter a lot in promos and whatnot.

whats this from?

WCW. It was revealed that Raven was actually from a middle class family and his character was the way he was because it was him rebelling. He was best friends with Kanyon and The Sandman was his pool cleaner.

The original "Hunter Hearst Helmsley" persona was hilarious.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pWchYpu670E

He did almost exactly the same gimmick right before he left WCW, except he was French instead of vaguely English. Jean-Paul Lévesque. Literally the only difference in the gimmick was a terrible French accent instead of terrible English accent. Considering WCW had recently been sued for infringing on WWF IPs, I'm amazed that A. Vince had the balls to do the same thing so soon and B. WCW never cared.

This particular episode won't download off of the RSS feed Beyondpod uses. So annoying... I want to be in on what everyone's talking about :/

gathered the hunter hurst helmsley thing from wikipedia, my confusion was as to why punk was calling him hunter and not paul on the podcast

It's what all "the boys" call him. it's like when Punk accidentally called Bryan 'Dragon' on that podcast. They just call him by their performer names.

He was then asked to apologize to the upset stripper after his match. He approached her in the parking lot, where she was high with her friends, and shouted "You are a whore!" in her face again, and left.

Witness Hunter Hearst Helmsley get beat clean by the Stalker on Raw.

http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x7hza7_hhh-vs-the-stalker_sport

Stone Cold is on commentary even saying "Kick out, kick out" and HHH doesn't!
I don't know what's more hilarious. Windham in that getup or the fact that his Stalker gimmick was billed as hailing from "The Environment".
Incidentally, I miss the days when wrestlers were introduced as hailing from a specific city or the ever-popular "Parts Unknown".

Damien Demento hailing from "The outer reaches of your mind" was the only good thing about that gimmick.
