Fat.

I'm bringing this up again cause i've been catching up over the weekends posts.

But it'd say Bo Dallas is fatter than punk. Like when Bo ran around the ring after winning a match?

He looked in pretty good shape when he dropped the belt to the Rock, or did he still have time on his contract after that?

So anyone have any thoughts on this persons theory with Punk and his whole treatment? This guy thinks there's holes in Punks story.

The Big Hole in the CM Punk Podcast
I'm reading through this thread right now and just came upon this. Sorry if it was already covered.

Azithromycin has an ingredient in it called Methicillin and Staph can develop to the point where it becomes Methicillin-resistant.
Methicillin is not an "ingredient" of Azithromycin.

Azithromycin is a macrolide, while methicillin is a type of penicillin. They're two different classes of antibiotics.

so i've never watched wrestling but i listened to this for some reason. wrestling drama is fascinating and i'd probably watch it if the actual product wasn't terrible most of the time

Carnies working other carnies is always entertaining.

The Raven thing was one of the best sets of vignettes ever. Going to the bank to pick up bags of small bills for the strip club, driving off in a Ferrari(iirc) with Kanyon. Hilarious.

Jericho saying that he never once asked Punk to do the podcast after he left WWE and still considers Punk a good friend.

I don't think punk ever said Jericho asked him to do his show, just that he was careful who he confided in backstage because he didn't know if they had "agendas" and if they would go blab about it to management or on their own shows. It sounds like he was an emotional wreck towards the end so some paranoia might have gone along with that.

I think Jericho may have prodded Punk for information. It's not as if you can't speak about Punk or relay a conversation you've had with the guy if he isn't on your podcast.

But I'm more excited about Chris Slade possibly returning to AC/DC. The guy is a monster drummer.

IIRC Punk said he didn't like people wanting information on his leaving so they could "talk about it on their podcast."

That's not to say Jericho would have done that, but that's why he shut him out, not so much being asked ON the podcast, yeah.

CM Punk is an interesting character, which is something the modern WWE is sorely in need of, especially with the ridiculous move to make the product PG.

Raw used to be a fucking amazing 2 hours of TV week after week during the Attitude era and now it's at best a mediocre 3 hours of TV, and at least half of it is jokey bullshit with dudes dressed as bulls and bunnies, and far too many diva matches.

PPV matches used to be insane. Now they're barely any better than what used to be on Raw. If they're going to neuter the matches, they need good promos more than ever. Driving dudes like CM Punk away is crazy.

Far too many Diva matches? I don't agree with that. I say bring on more Diva matches. Just give us better ones that are actually meaningful. The state of female wrestling in WWE is a joke. They need a better female roster and need to treat the diva division as something more than bathroom breaks.

What they need to do is build the tilte picture around AJ, Paige, Natalya and Charlotte. You can use some of the others such as Bellas, Becky and Bayley for matches on Raw etc but PPV matches should be combination of the main 4 for the next 12-18 months.

No more storylines about crazy women, fake lesbian nonsense or wanting to date some male wrestler. It should always be about wanting to be the best and champion. PPV matches should be in the 10-15 minute length not 3-5 minute and not in the death spot before the main event if they stay committed to this they could get fans away from the conditioning of Divas matches equals bathroom break.

The WWE will never take women's matches even remotely seriously. The fact that they still insist on calling their female talent "divas" and making their belt look like something out of the Barbie universe confirms that. It's eye candy and it helps them fill time now that the shows are too long.

I guess at least now they do actual moves and have finishers and stuff. 10 years ago it was just hair pulling and bra and panty matches

So Jericho didn't ask Punk to do the podcast personally but he got WWE to ask on his behalf. No wonder he thought there was an agenda.

PG isn't a problem and has never been a problem. It was PG in the 80s when WWF went from a regional New England company to big enough to sell out the Silver Dome and Skydome within 3 years. The entire nWo angle was PG. All of the best NWA and other territory stuff in the 80s was PG. The problem now is over exposure.

WWE produces over 450 hours of content per year. That's not even including Network exclusives like pre-post show, talking head shows, and documentary series. They've completely flooded the market, which makes little sense since they ARE the market. There is no value to the product anymore. The Network, while dope for wrestling fans, undercuts that value even more. Since the days of jobber matches are long over, you have those 450 hours of content with the same 25-35 people, which means you're going to get rematches all the time. And when you're putting out 8 hours of in ring stuff per week, it is pretty easy to just throw two guys out there who you know can fill 8-15 minutes even if they've already had 5 matches in the last 2 months.

They still run things like it is 1998 and they have to put out huge matches on TV all the time. They don't. That continues to devalue the product as big matches are blown on TV and that hurts their ability to draw money on PPVs. This is all coming from an alcoholic wrestling fan with a high school diploma, though. I might not know what I'm talking about at all.

I am positive this has been answered at least once since this is a very large thread, but why can't we download the podcast? Is he having trouble with his podcasts being able to be downloaded?

Thanks!

There's "All Ages" and then there's "Family-Friendly". The former is fine, the latter is a death sentence and the latter is what they pushed towards for too long w/ Cena.

It's pretty simple. If the WWE followed through on the potential of the talent that the crowd want to get behind, they'd have a compelling TV show on their hands. Rather than trying to spite the fans, or force wrestlers with limited talent down our throats, they should capitalize on what they've got. Writing interesting storylines that don't end in a) Cena winning, or b) a generally shitty payoff would be a good start. They have the resources!

The mood backstage today is very tense. Everyone is doing their best to stay away from both Triple H and Stephanie. I was told that there was a long closed door meeting today with Triple H, Stephanie and Vince.

I'm not sure what it was about. But the door was actually locked. Not even Vince's personal security were allowed by the door. Usually during meetings with Vince, there is a man outside standing by the door.

They won't do anything to AJ, it would only make them look bad since everyone knows why they are doing it and that just backfires.

Besides, I'd be very surprised if she didn't have one foot out the door already. She probably is just sitting out her contract, I wouldn't at all be surprised if it ends before 2015 hits.

AJ is going to get Pedigree'd through the Spanish announcer table.

They also don't want to risk pissing off Punk even more and have him start getting in touch with various media outlets to make it a bigger story.
