Gematsu: Sony to hold Playstation Experience event in December

Good question. Maybe Adam can spend the next 50 pages incessantly teasing about it.
No teasing. Not even necessarily just before such a huge event. But if something is dead and people are still waiting it's unnecessary and (in my opinion) not productive for marketing. There are so many good news, I am sure. Why overshadowing them with disappointed feelings like: "XY announcement was great, but once more no Last Guardian showing up."

I am doing a Story Time panel with Shu & Scott Rohde, and I've been trying out some more bad jokes if they'll have me back on stage

How to become a PS MVP?
Can I promote myself by providing some bad jokes to you? : D

And when could we know the firm plan of PSX, and how to collect the cards there?

Christ I go to sleep and Boyes pops in! This thread isn't stopping. I think Edge or another insider needs to do some teasing the middle of this week to keep it going. Or some funny gifs. Not enough gifs!

Adam must be really nervous because he knows that Sony can do almost everything what they want, the people in this thread will still be disappointed with their ridiculous expectations. :P

Hey Adam welcome! Can I ask if you like the Shenmue series? ;)

Adam's got good taste, so he must like the Shenmue series. All the more reason to bring it back for the masses to discover or rediscover.

And yes, thanks Adam for the Grim Fandango remaster. One of my favourite games, and now I don't have to play it front of a desk anymore. Or try and get it working on a PC.

Any Capcom believers in here? Probably we'll be disappointed but hey let's rock anyway!
If it's a new IP, I hope it's a new fighting game.

I think the situation between this and Capcom Cup is pretty strange but I can see SFV debuting at either.

We already had thread for that.

Many believe that this is misinformation. Game will be shown, but it will not be playable by public.

The source mentioned in thw article isnt the official playstation Twitter for germany, thats PlaystationDE. The account mentioned in the article is a fan created twitter acc. Doesn't mean that the picture is wrong though. Gonna try to find a magazine later and look through it.

I would not recommend this ;)

Also, this thread is officially off the rails.Congratulations!
Nice seeing you here, Adam :)

Don't want to annoy you, but I hope you saw all the Crash Bandicoot posts here (and on all the PS-only boards).
Would be cool if you could tell that to Mr. Layden or House (if they don't know it already). People want Crash back in Sony's/ND's hands. Maybe it's possible to make a deal with Activision. I mean, they have no use with the IP. It's pretty much an inactive IP. Seeing the IP being owned by Activision breaks our heart, man. Imagine EA owning the Mario IP :/
Hope you guys can make dreams come true :)
Kind Regards

Preach brother! Get him back!

Hey Adam, what about Yakuza Zero in english?
Sega can't do it alone, talk to your buddies, we need Yakuza.

I reckon that this title, with a push from Sony on marketing, could do a lot better than any other Yakuza in english.

This time, has no "3", "4", "5", on the title, people can jump on this one without the fear that they are losing something. It's a fresh start, everyone will get to know the characters together, from start.

"An open-world crime action game, exclusive to PS4" sounds better than any marketing deal for Destiny.

Yakuza Zero can smash it, it needs Sony help, and we need this game!

Literally almost every single person. A new Crash is dumb idea. Having ND work on it would be an unforgivable abomination.

I honestly don't think Naughty Dog should make a Crash Game. They are past those sorts of games now. Sony Bend on the other hand? Most competent developers could easily make a Crash Bandicoot game. It wouldn't take a huge budget either if they stick to the classic gameplay revolved around the original trilogy on PS1.

Even though i want Yakuza over here Destiny has done more for Sony than most 1st party exclusives in terms of selling consoles.

Sega cannot be reasoned with.

the original crash games don't really hold up though. i think warped does the most, out of it actually supporting analog stick controls with varied gameplay that breaks up the monotony of the pretty straightforward and generally simple level design. i don't think naughty dog ever really had the feel for platformers. jak and daxter was their most successful attempt and jason rubin seemed to hate it. i agree that naughty dog would be a poor fit for the game since it's been more than ten years since they last gave the genre a shot (and a lot of those people are probably gone anyway). if sony has to make crash again, i say give it to media.molecule. they're sony's real shining star anyway.

I'm inclined to disagree about them holding up. I have Crash 2 and 3 on my Vita and I think they look great! But I'll agree with MM. They most definitely have the charm to make a Crash game stand out to todays standards.

No first party studio which historically makes AAA titles should be given an irrelevant IP in a desperate attempt to revive it. Seems like the most logical thing to do would be is to give that license to a hungry and innovative indie studio so they can do some clever things with it.

it's not about how they look, but how they play. crash 2 in particular is just confusing as all hell for me to grasp my head around. i have no idea where to go or what to do or what i'm unlocking. the levels are serviceable, but it's generally confusing. visually they're rather good for their era (and even elicit some nostalgia from me as i did enjoy them in the 90s whenever i had the chance), but really trying to give each one a go in 2014 is pretty painful. again, from an actual gameplay perspective.

you know what might actually work though? if media.molecule took crash and made it the morpheus's killer app. think about it. the game already employs a somewhat first-person view with its unconventional take on 3d platforming. it would be a pretty good fit for early vr, push some nosalgia buttons, and probably be fairly interesting to play through. and with media.molecule, i'm sure they'd be able to put their own fun and unique twists on such a thing.

I agree or they can set up a new studio for it.
