WHAT IS WRONG WITH ME GAF!? I've just ordered a Pikachu ;_;
I swear. Last one from Wave 1 (not including Villager and Kirby when they are back in stock in places and not double the price or higher).
Though Mario is kind of a classic... and Samus can get a cool costume in MK 8....

And now I've realized wave 2 comes out so soon. We're in December. My poor, poor wallet.
I've seen plenty of custom colored Amiibos, but has anyone attempted to replace Link's pillar with something that looks a little less disgusting? Maybe even tried to replace the figurine to make his pose look more like the actual trophy?
That's of course not as viable as just painting a figurine, but isn't there always someone?

I preorded the Pit Amiibo on Target since its sold out everywhere else. Hopefully they restock on Marth soon since its sold everywhere near me.

I'm guessing because it saves on paper? Its really annoying for me since you have to take out the slip cover to even look at the code.
Zelda, Diddy Kong and Luigi will be readily available everywhere.
Mac, Pit and C Falcon are going to be the 3 rare of the bunch. I don't see Nintendo producing many of the these guys. Maybe a little extra for Pit.

This big pics of Marth are really unrepresentative of his actual size. In person it's so tiny that the quality almost doesn't matter, you have to look so close to notice it being bad.

Out of curiosity, are those of you who are buying multiple keeping them in box for collecting purposes or taking out and using?
I have Villager, Marth, Trainer, Kirby, Pikachu, DK, Mario and Link (with more on the way) but of all of those I've only opened up Link. Got him to 50 in no time.
I'm half torn on just opening them all up and displaying / using them for myself or just holding off and seeing which ones are most desirable for resell purposes.

Got Brollager, Brath, Kirbro and Wii Sis. I playing 5-Player Smash to get them to 50 and then will play probably 2-Player Smash, 3-Player Smash or 4-Player Smash to practice and try to find a character I like.
Plus, I like displaying them.
I hope so. Guess I will preorder Pit and Zelda and get Diddy later. I missed the figma so I'm inclined to pick up Amiibo Pit.

Finally got to check these out in-person today! A lot smaller than I expected to be from the picture's I've seen on here. The faces and detailing seemed fine on most of the ones I saw, one of the Samus' had a few paint defects but it was all really minor stuff you'd never notice under normal viewing conditions. I grabbed Samus, Mario, and Yoshi. Kind of wanted Donkey Kong too, since he looked nice, but I needed to draw the line somewhere.
Until Captain Falcon is out, that is.

My amiibo don't seem to know how to fight each other. They seem to all mainly target human players, and if all that is left are amiibo they will just jump and air dodge around each other for fourty minutes before some one musters up the gusto to actually attack.
Mine are the complete opposite. They're pummeling the shit out of each other, playing King of the Hill on the small island with the tree at the bottom of Palutena's Temple, lol. There was a stretch where nearly all of them were stuck in some sort of glitch, too, glued to the ceiling and spinning in place at 999% damage. It took Kirby using his Ultra Sword Final Smash to break them free.
It'll be nice if they have a huge stack of goodies for me to collect at the end of the match, but if nothing else it's nice background noise while I tend to some work. It's like managing a daycare full of rambunctious children!

I trained each of mine in mostly 1v1 matches. Samus and Marth are very distant, and try to keep away from you. Fox however is much more aggressive. Wonder what I did to make them that way.

I was thinking of getting one more to have four player battles. Who to get, though? I know Kirby and Yoshi will be supported and a Mario amiibo makes sense from an investment standpoint.
Kirby is cuter to look at but Yoshi is cuter when he makes faces and noises. I can't believe that this matters to me.

I went to two stores and there was only one Link between them.
He was leaning forward a lot and you couldn't see his face looking at him front on. Are they all like that or is leaning a problem with Link's?
