Batch #1 is done. #2 will be in a few hours. I'm slowly collecting avatars, this will be a big project. :D

I'm boarding, hopefully :-)

And Crash would be a waste of ND´s time money and effort, especially when they said they have no interest in making catoony games. Crash is not a Sony IP, unlike Alundra and Tombi, so financially speaking, it is better if Sony invests in the IP that they own. It is a big waste to spend a huge amount of money buying an old IP, just to please few individuals, especially when the studio who made Crash is not interested in making cartoony games.

more than a few...

also Crash could be used in other stuff like a kart game, Battle playstation all stars, LBP DLC, etc. Definitely not a waste of many if used correctly

No, we want a Crash Bandicoot platformer game.

Someone earlier in the thread mentioned an open world crash. I'd take that. Use the crash karts for mobility around the map with levels in different areas that are pure platforming. Drop in drop put Co op with up to 4 people and just wreak havoc and do crash team races. I'm just dreaming now haha.

Celebrating 20 years or having nostalgia goggles doesn't somehow make Shenmue 3 a good idea. I grew up with Crash. I have incredibly fond memories of playing that game with my friends and family. But I could give a shit about a new Crash game. Fun police or not.

There's literally nothing to discuss about new IPs until they actually show them, so of course any speculation is going to be about sequels and remakes etc.

That you personally do or don't like some game/franchise isn't really relevant.

i'd rather the money not be wasted.
I don't understand people like you.

Yeah that was me actually.

And another added the co-op racing stuff.

"What is better" is making your hardcore fans happy every now and then. Who cares about the money in this case?
What did Yoshida say lately: "Only 4 out of 10 1st Party games are making money."
We're talking about "fan service" here.
Sometimes you do stuff to please your hardcore fanbase. And nobody knows how much the IP would cost. It's an old, "inactive" IP.
First of all, we're talking about getting the IP back. See Naughty Dog's shop, without Crash merchandise, Crash not being in their amazing Artbook, etc. Heartbreaking! For that alone, a lot of people want the Crash IP back. And after all has been said and done.... then we can talk about a new game.
And if Naughty Dog doesn't want to make a new one -> see Sucker Punch / Sly / Sanzaru. There are ways to make good things happen.

Oh haha my bad! Great idea Madridista.

To be honest if knack can sell 1 million and that's a brand new IP. The mindshare Crash has it could sell really well if marketed properly. And that it doesn't look like hot garbage too.

I be the announcements will be something like Jaffe's new game, a teaser for a new worldwide studios IP and maybe 1 other Gamescom-tier reveal.

I think all the Crash/Shenmue/FF7/TLG/Agent etc. talk is just beyond what this event will be.

Money wasted?
I guess you're talking about the "100 million dollars", that went down the toilet when SCEA cancelled Sony Santa Monica's new IP.
But pleasing your hardcore fans every know and then + good PR? No, that is NOT a waste of money and time!

A new Crash a waste of time ?

So i wonder which game is not a waste of time...

Shadows Of the Damned 2, for one ;)

I didn't say anything about santa monica or "100 million dollars" going down the toilet. Did you even read my post before attempting to put words in my mouth?

I honestly wouldn't get excited about a Crash game at all, but I wouldn't mind if they bring it to the PS4.

I think it would give the brand a decent increment in mind share.

I would love them to market Crash Bandicoot aggressively and as the face of PlayStation, like they did back in the PSone era.

I'm a sucker for mascots, and is super sad they're doing nothing with Jak & Daxter, so I'll be looking forward to the Ratchet & Clank remake.

My predictions... because why the hell not.

* Opening Montage, celebrating the 20th anniversary of PlayStation
* Andrew House takes the stage for opening comments
* Transition to The Order 1886 stage demo
* Bloodborne gameplay trailer
* Indie section
* No Man's Sky confirmed as PS4 exclusive. Hello Games joining first party lineup. Confirmed Morpheus support.
* Project Morpheus section. New details on launch, handful of games confirmed to support Morpheus
* Capcom vs. PlayStation announced
* Gran Turismo 7 announced
* Naughty Dog takes the stage to present their Uncharted 4 demo
* "One LAST thing" Naught Dog has one more thing to show us. The Last of Us 2 teaser.

GT7, i don't think so.
TLOU2, too early.

But, one last thing "FFVII" is my major guess
