The Xwhat now?

In all seriousness, MS better announce their 2015 plans soon. Sony upcoming list of exclusives is already rather chunky.

I know MS is going to have more game announcements, but I felt like they used up most of the big hitters at last E3. I can't wait to see what 2016 has in store for everyone. We are going to start crawling away from cross gen stuff finally.

I feel like Sony is about to crank the heat up on this generation. Where is the hype thread for the Xbox winter conference that is supposedly happening?

MS is not showing any new game annoucnments at The Game Awards. Spencer has also said on twitter that you will see more of scalebound , Quantum break & Crackdown in 2015

I'm actually welcoming a more cinematic and linear experience. This gen has been nothing but open world games and it's already getting old

Agreed wholeheartedly. Open world is in fashion right now, always being touted as a selling point even though it doesn't necessarily make a game any better.

I could actually really go for something linear and cinematic right now.

Damn, so good. If nothing else, the game is a visual marvel:

Its beautiful, it just got me at a weird angle when they showed multiple cut scenes breaking into the action. It felt off, please tell me they removed most of them and made this game fluid PLEASE SHINOBI!

There probably isn't one, there isn't any reason to believe there is other than some random website said they probably had one.

They are having a meet and greet with Major Nelson at the Microsoft store in Las Vegas. Anyone who thought Microsoft was going to come even close to matching the Playstation Experience was deluding themselves. Playstation Experience seems rushed enough as is.

I don't think The Order is going to dissapoint. That demo was such a tiny slice of the game , and an early build, that it's very difficult to judge. The game will be an experience. Slow exploration areas, action sequences, storyline. I'm not going into it expecting a third person shooter. I'm expecting something more along the lines of RE4 or Eternal Darkness. Maybe I'm wrong about that. Maybe the game devolves into a repetitive shoot fest , which would be a shame.

Either way, this is their chance to impress before the gameslaunch. Show a new area! Show npc's walking around that living breathing London they've built. Stop holding back, because their marketing has done a disservice to the game.

Well, they are using the Uncharted games for inspiration so that should give a good indication of what kind of pacing we're looking at. It won't be all shooting all the time.

I feel like RAD have talked about this, too, how they are aiming for the right balance of shooting, exploration, stealth, etc.

I welcome the linearity in The Order as well. However, I want it to be something more like Eternal Darkness, but with much better action. Maybe even a bit if Arkham Asylum style. The slow exploration areas, soaking in the story and atmosphere, maybe some light puzzle solving, some NPC interaction in the city streets. Repetitive waves of shooting would hurt this game, unless the weapons are amazing and theres perhaps a weapon and armor upgrade system for depth? I doubt there is, but something like that could be great.

And hopefully it's a lengthy adventure , at least around 10 hours for this type of game. With no multiplayer, it could be a hard sell for the more casual fans. But hey, Bioshock Infinite did it.

Well, MS did do that at E3 and Gamescom. There's Quantum Break, Halo 5, Fable Legends, Screamride, Rise of the Tomb Raider for 2015. Speculation puts Crackdown and Scalebound in 2016.

Yeah, announcing 2016 at this year E3 wasn't a super good move, now they won't have that much games to announce left.

MS's 2015 looks stacked too, let's not start list wars please :P

I don't want to start anything either but I'd really like to know what your definition of "stacked" means because as of right now they have nothing for the first half of 2015 aside from a roller coaster tycoon clone and an XBLA game port.

You requested it, so here is my poem:

Only 5 days away from our very first
Public event and the Gaf just ‘bout burst

Amazing to see many guesses and Gifs
Until 10am that day you’ll be hanging from cliffs.

The problem with Gaf and it’s vast speculation
Is that even great news brings out your frustration

One person’s favorite is another’s least fave
But we try to bring games that most gamers crave

Our goal is to have fun, share news, announce games
Meet new friends, talk games & also denounce flames

Keep an open mind while we attempt something new
Hope to see you all there where we can share a cold brew!

You are an inspiration to this mental insti...I mean thread.
