I would assume Tidux is talking out of his ass, as usual.

Tidux mentioned them buying Crytek, which was garbage and not going to happen, someone else mentioned SEGA, but SEGA (and Atlus) and wholely owned by Sammy Holding, which is another huge company that deals more with the arcade/Pachinko machine business in Japan so it's not a likely purchase.

I welcome the linearity in The Order as well. However, I want it to be something more like Eternal Darkness, but with much better action. Maybe even a bit if Arkham Asylum style. The slow exploration areas, soaking in the story and atmosphere, maybe some light puzzle solving, some NPC interaction in the city streets.

You are speaking my language here, buddy.

I think everyone has made up their minds on it. Perception won't change unless the game comes out and gets 9s and 10s from critics. Nothing else will be enough to quiet the very loud skeptics.

The problem is that even if it deserves them I don't see it getting those scores because as you said, even reviewers have unfortunately made up their minds already.

Also if what Shinobi says is true, it sounds like The Order demo will only be available to people at the event and will not be streamed or shown on stage (just a tiny bit of the game).

So while we may get good word of mouth from attendees, people who just tune in for the press conference are going to keep spouting on about how they're showing nothing

If reviewers have made up their mind off gameplays that has been clarified that is alpha code and early stages then why follow reviews anymore, they would be useless

THE LAST OF US 2.....

.....wats the chances of this bomb dropping?!

Zero. U4 will be central showcase of E3 2015 with relase in late 2015. The earliest announcement of TLOU2 is late 2016 for "late 2017-summer2018" release.

Naughty Dog is still a single team studio [confirmed by the team bosses], with 'large preproduction" teams on the side. They can't make two games at once.

I think we are underestimating people's capacity to process new information. They have a reason to be skeptical. All it takes is a solid round of media to change people's minds. That hasn't happened yet. Hopefully this weekend will change all that, for everyone's sake.

I don't want to start anything either but I'd really like to know what your definition of "stacked" means because as of right now they have nothing for the first half of 2015 aside from a roller coaster tycoon clone and an XBLA game port.

Fair enough! Send me a PM so we can discuss it, this threads not the place :P

A large amount of them are these days. That's why you shouldn't put too much stock in metacritic or large gaming publications.

The inconsistency with which games are evaluated and scored is gross.

Batch #1 is done. #2 will be in a few hours. I'm slowly collecting avatars, this will be a big project. :D

They are working on something else besides U4, a smaller scale project I'm guessing.

They need to release a complete video of the entire demo online then, and the demo needs to be really good.

I think that's the only thing that can turn this around. A few people who were at the event saying "guys its really good!" isn't going to convince anyone.

There will be a good chunk of media released. There will be press previews. It's like any other pre-release event.

I was always way more excited for the Order than most people (still had my doubts though), so I'm super excited now to hear more.

The only concern I have is the game's length/replay-ability/value.

Thank you DieH@rd <3
I've been away playing the heck out of my PS4 on my first day of vacation. Any news for the day?
(Man this thread is getting huge!)

Thanks, I'm excited to see it all. Honestly more excited about this than Bloodborne (which I still think looks great)

Even got my Galahad edition pre-ordered already :)

I'm actually welcoming a more cinematic and linear experience. This gen has been nothing but open world games and it's already getting old

Open world games are almost always bad, but hold-you-by-your-hand-and-guide-you-to-the-next-cutscene games are usually bad too. The perfect balance is anywhere between Zelda and Uncharted for me.

You left out Hello games

What are you trying to say Shi?? ;)
No, I'm just saying I have no idea about Hello Games lol.

Yes, short onstage demo, but a big hands on demo for the public there. I'm sure more footage will find its way online afterwards, whether officially or not.

This thred is better and better. 200 pages ago - lol - we've been wondering what new ip Sony will announce. And now!? Which company Sony will buy. :)
