Oh man, Kaiju Korra is back!

This is awful, in an amazing kind of way.

It's better than the real opening anyway.

I would totally watch that tbh (complete with the usually cheese voice acting on top)

Any guesses on each of these eps?

here's mine

#223 "Operation: Beifong" - The plan is successful and the beifongs are family again including Toph
#224 "Kuvira's Gambit" - Reveals the secret weapon is some huge robot as her final play
#225 "Day of the Colossus" - said robot is OP as hell and the current team can't do shit with Kuriva at the helm or alternately the robot loses control due to the vines and is OP as hell where the team cant do shit even with Kuvira now helping them due to making a huge mistake.
#226 "The Last Stand" - Everyone comes together to fight this treat and brings their game (Tezin, Zuko, his Daughter Toph, Su, Kin, The air Kids, hell even Zaheer and the goddamn kitchen sink) in order to stop the robot and Kuvira or alternately everyone comes together to stop the ramaging robot and that includes Kuvira after realizing she made a huge mistake

That would be an awesome way to end the series, honestly.

They are going to have a giant platinum robot that combines into a fucking voltron

It's called a
Colossus
, so basically yeah, LoK version of that Starcraft unit, with inception beam cannon.

I wish they would just give us adult adventures of aang. Though I'd probably would like the series to continue in some way so I wouldn't be miffed if we got a Korra book.

EDIT: oh new episode titles? Awesome. Time for predictions and avatar bets! The last avatar Avatar bets :(

As long as they're going down this path they might as well give us some Gurren Lagann type levels of insanity. I wanna see Kuvira throwing some buildings at Mako.

heh

Ehhh I don't know, TTGL had that over the top theme from the beginning. Would be weird in Avatar.

But fuck it, let's do it.

Final episode of the Legend of Korra has a really lame title. I was hoping for something more meaningful like ATLA's final episode, "Avatar Aang".

True true. Still here's hoping that they end the show in a big way or good way at least.

A shame. We were all so hopeful in season one. Those first episodes were magical. Heck the entire first season was magical, despite it's flaws at the end.

Then there was book 2, which were dark times. I rewatched season one a lot as it was airing but never watched a single episode of book 2 twice, save for beginnings. Still haven't till this day.

Then book 3 redeemed the series, as there weren't any obvious offenders (other than totally useless Kai).

Book 4 has been okay but has mainly suffered from a weak villian (sorry ToaTAK) and bad pacing.

Well, it's been...a ride. lol

Art direction has taken a tremendous nose-dive from first season to this one. Just got to the episode where they apparently ran out of money and had to do a clip-show. Really hammers home the steep drop off in production quality going from those early episodes to the recent ones.

Amazon dispatched mine too, not sure how 1080i would look like on screen.

Should look decent enough. The Book 2 bluray is also 1080i and i'd say the video transfer is pretty good from what i've watched of it. It's not quite as striking as the Book 1 bluray though.

Some Book 3 commentary discussion about Korra and Asami. Hmm
BK: We had the teeny bopper love triangle stuff. The writers, Mike, and I, were interested in actually setting that aside now. It was fun for us for the first two seasons, but now we’re more interested in Korra and Asami just kind of getting over that. And through that process actually becoming friends and just exploring that. They didn't let this little kind of romance thing get between them. They weren't petty about it. For us, it’s more fun having them as friends rather than adversaries or rivals.

-TLOK 3.01 with Bryan Konietzko, Michael Dante DiMartino, & Joaquim dos Santos

As long as there is no de-confirmation and both characters stay alive, it is canon.

Even if they said nay nobody would believe them, you don't spend a season and a half building this romance, and I am going to call it that because we are adults here, and just get to put the kibosh on it, presumably because the chain of command said so.

Okay here are my guesses:
#223 "Operation: Beifong" - They rescue Suyin and co. Re-education camp featured. More info about Kuvira (ie how she ended up getting adopted by Suyin in the first place.) Toph reveals Suyin and Lin's fathers.

#224 "Kuvira's Gambit" - Kuvira publicly reveals the spirit bomb weapon. Demands that Republic City and the rest of the nations recognize the Earth Empire and her leadership. (Forget Prince Wu) Korra does more stuff involving spirit world.

#225 "Day of the Colossus" - By harvesting the spirit vines aka the roots of the tree of time, Kuvira has awakened one of the most powerful spirits on the planet. Angry spirit wrecks Kuvira's army. Kuvira plans to use weapon on spirit. Korra knows this would have devastating consequences on planet's ecosystem.

#226 "The Last Stand" - Team avatar must deactivate bomb. Varrick varricks it up and reconciles with Zhu Li. Korra fights with Kuvira. Kuvira is severely injured by giant spirit. Korra fights with giant spirit and finally manages to calm it down.

Korra insists that free elections be held for Earth Kingdom. Earth Kingdom States regain autonomy. Prince Wu realizes he'd rather not be a head of state anyway. Toph Beifong elected supreme Melon Lord of Earth Confederacy.

Kuvira must travel to south pole so that she can heal. Kuvira thanks Korra.

Friendship hug.

Even though it was trending that way since the season 2 finale, it's good to see Makorra finally die like the character destroying albatross it was.

RIP roman reigns.

I wish the Korra writers know how to do comedy like JoJo does.

Also Joseph>>>Korra as a main character.

The trick to JoJo comedy is to simply not care about the consequences. Do you think something is funny, regardless of implications? Write it in, maybe the readers will also find it funny.

And I think any JoJo character would make a better main character than Korra. I'd watch the adventures of Avatar Jolyne or Avatar Polnareff

Joseph is greater than a lot of characters...way more fun than Jotaro. I honestly wish they did take some elements from Jojo though since even as over the top as that show is you can easily get into the characters. They're very consistently written. Too bad Korra will never have anything as badass/hilarious/fabulous as "Awaken my masters!!"

Avatar Polnareff would give us moments like this:

Whole season would own.
