Chumps until the end.

Not starting a fight or anything. Just sayin'.

Why do people think Crash is coming now? Doesn't Activision still own the IP? Any change in ownership would have been public now. Ya'll be tripping.

There was a tweet of someone saying they asked Activision if they still had the rights to Crash and they replied "no comment".

I want the exact opposite. The best games are the consistent ones. I want a pure TPS experience a la Gears of War entirely built around cover shooting. The variety will come from the enemy encounters. I don't think it will be Resident Evil or Eternal Darkness but more TLOU which Ihope it's not. One minute, it's a cover shooter, but not as good as Vanquish or Gears. The next, it's a stealth game, but not as good as Splinter Cell or MGS. The next, is a scripted chase sequence all the while covered with endless cut scenes. Fuck that.

Cutscenes I can deal with as long as it is skippable. QTE's, sure. As long as it is kept to a minimum. Just make a great looking, satisfying TPS shooting romp

Gears is not as good as TLOU. TLOU is one of the best controlling Third Person games out there and is the better game. If RAD can make a game close to TLOU I will be a happy gamer. But I am not convinced they are that good judging from what I have seen.

How's Crash's mobility? Master Chief is a tough guy, but his punches take a while to connect.
Crash is like the size of his shoe or something. All Chief needs to do is step on him.

Maybe this fight should be against Nathan Drake instead so Chief isn't accused of animal abuse.

That's a year old and later the same day they clarified that they did own it.

Also, re: ownership, they can withhold the IP change until they go public with it to prevent speculation. Activision has a habit of not even registering new IP trademarks (or title-specific marks) until a few days before they go live.

PlayStation vs. Capcom, featuring Sony IP characters and also "PlayStation" characters like Cloud, Crash, and Tekken characters.

Sony did revive TWisted Metal last gen and it was really good but had broken online. Oh well. At least that wouldn't be an issue in a platformer.

Releasing a new Crash game does not make monetary sense. I would much rather Naughty Dog create an entirely new I.P. for kids. Knack was similar gameplay to Crash and was so poorly received, it was debilitating. Why do you guys want to see Crash fail? :/

Fortunately we have a product for people who aren't able to scratch that itch of platformers, it's called Tearaway Unfolded.

Boyes, if you see this. No need for a thank you. I'm just doing every company's job now. It's okay, I got this. Both Sony and MS. Fuck Nintendo though.

Nostalgia.

A new Crash game would be awesome, but even then I wouldn't see ND working on it. It would be handed off to one of SCE other 1st party devs to create. Depending on how well they translate Crash, it could be good and even sell well, but the lack older platformers on new consoles and the lackluster sales of Knack when it was nothing but a classic platformer doesn't bode well for Crash.

I'm struggling to understand how Knack was in any way similar to Crash.

I love Verendus, I feel like we can sit down and drink a cold beer and talk about games all day long.

● Things we've been waiting for previously announced to make appearance
● Something that was much requested finally coming true
● And some announcement for a franchise that is going to be really interesting for people and cause some waves

And I know the details of two of the announcements, but the third was left blank for me with the emphasis that it is going to be a very considerable announcement.

I don't want to do the WorthyEdge thing but that's the outline of the three announcements I've heard without spoiling it for people. I am by no means an insider and never claim to be so I'm going on the trust of the people I talk to, and there has been a case before where I had my leg pulled (years ago World of Warcraft coming to consoles). So I'd take anything with a grain of salt. I won't PM people because I don't give information out that people give me in confidence (unless it's really fucked up and people deserve to know), but I think that's sufficiently vague enough to not really give anything away.

So that's all, you people are already on a runaway hype train so I'll leave you to it :P
1. Suspend feature.
2. PSN name change
3. Weather patch for DriveClub will be available immediately.

Crash was primarily a platformer. Knack was more like an old-school beat-em-up.

Cerny admitted Knack is influenced by his older games which included Crash.

But the bulk of the game plays closer to his God of War work.

As for being an actual Crash replacement, Knack obviously isn't in the same league.

The visual influence, perhaps, but I agree, the game is more like Family Friendly God of War than a Crash Successor, and I'm not comparing quality wise to those two games, only gameplay elements.

Knack is nothing like crash.

My man Kev
