I'm not trying to be a negative nancy or business GAF, but Sony's financial position is dubious at best. They are cutting their televisions, smartphones, AND have sold off the entire Vaio line.

They are relying purely on the profits of the PlayStation division and content based services. This is a ridiculous position to be in.

You can bet that Activision would charge a premium, even if it's a dead franchise. I don't see a lot of potential ROI for a franchise like Crash.

Then again Knack sold a million copies so who knows.

Maybe Sony could sign some kind of exclusivity deal while the franchise remains in Activision's hands.

C'mon. There was so much hinting. Crash from Trash to Sony, Crash Bandicoot music playing during the PS4 event, Sony Twitter accounts teasing with the poor Bandicoot, dude who came up with the design of the Bandicoot redrawing him and Cortex again (okay this one is just dumb for me to believe but BELIEVE)

Crash has to come back.

Has anyone mentioned Wipeout, I wonder what will happen to that? Since there are so many rumors flying around it's not unreasonable to say that there might be a new wipeout, right?

Old Crash games still sell like crazy on EU PSN.
 
I'm in my own train car. Dragon's Dogma 2 is all I need. Capcom won't do it by themselves, but with a little help from Sony.

They aren't cutting phones or televisions. They are cutting out the lower end and going premium. Wtf.
 
Question:

Let's say crash does get announced. How many of you will blame this thread for "spoiling" it? Are you going to feel let down if it shows up at the keynote?

TV will be spun off in a separate company, the line-up of smartphones will be cut down to a few profitable devices, not the smartphone division itself and the Vaio division posted huge losses before it was rightfully cut. There's still Sony Music and Sony Pictures as well as Sony insurances and the Imaging division that supplies the iPhone and the increasingly popular Chinese handset builders with camera sensors and optics.

I want a epic crash. People expecting FF remake and Crash and other lunacy needs a train wreck to put people back on the right path.
 
any room for goku on the hype train? also, is that awards thing tonight worth checking out? i dont really feel like staying up all night but the hype is too real right now

I don't think people really expect it to be there, so it's going to be a great surprise anyway if it's a reality. Besides, the direction they take a hypothetical new Crash in would probably be more interesting than the actual announcement. Do they stick closely to the old formula? Reinvent it? Full 3D exploration? Who's developing it? Lots of questions.

I would cum for days and change my avatar (if I don't lose the bet I made against Verendus) to "BEST MASCOT" with some awesome picture of Crash. I don't know!

I'd probably be hospitalized.

Nah, not me. We have speculated about so many games we could blame this thread for spoiling almost anything outside a new IP. I'm sure somebody will though :p
 
Well, as long as the same applies to all the games discussed in the last 200 pages, I think we are all going to be just fine :)
 
Guys...how would you react if Sony purchased FromSoftware from Kadokawa games?

Bloodborne is already a Sony owned IP, and I'm sure Sony isn't letting that one go like Demon's Souls (meaning never to be abandoned again).

Talking about Wipeout makes me sad. It's not gonna happen, so nothing to really talk about.

RIP Studio Liverpool :(

TBH, I don't think I want another Wipeout without them, just wouldn't feel the same.
 
Okay... Has anything new happened in the last two hours or so?
Seems like it has, everyone is talking like Crash has been confirmed. Or is it just GAF being GAF? Either way I still love you guys.
