Is the Sony PlayStation Wireless Stereo Headset 2.0 the best headset for that price? I'm looking for something with atleast 5.1.

Cheapest I can find is Amazon for £60.

If you're wanting 5.1, it most likely is, yes. Though, it only gives 5.1 on PS3/PS4. Other consoles and PC it will just output stereo, since the surround sound conversion is done by the console.

The better surround sound headsets(which isn't saying much because headsets in general have poor sound quality) are at least £100. More if you're wanting to use your own headphones, which will almost always have better sound quality than a headset. My setup would cost around £200, astro mixamp + Sennheiser HD 558's.

Does the microphone work on the PC, i.e. have some craft sods configured drivers for it?

It's plug and play.

Regarding 3DS consoles, Tesco did have them available for sub £150 recently. Check Hot UK Deals to see if they're still available.

Awesome! Looking forward to trying them out on Christmas Day!

Yeah for Cyber Monday they had them at £129 I believe, however they'd all gone sadly by the time I found out.

There was a post on Hotdeals last night about an error on the Microsoft store last night letting you order 2 x XB1 for £299

Just waiting for them to cancel my order now

Holy crap, if that actually goes through I'll have wished I caught that one. I was on the site last night and I never spotted that!

So Red 3DS XL bundle with NSMB2, Smash Bros (plus promotion game), for £192 after a £10 voucher from Argos. That's all I can find :/

I suppose after the games are removed at roughly £90 it softens the blow a little...

keep us informed. would really like to know if ms actually sends out two of em.

Got an email from MS this morning saying there was an error with the site and that only one console has been shipped. They sent a code for Forza 5 too, despite the fact that I ordered a bundle with Forza to begin with!

As an American living in Europe I am not familiar with all the different retailers in different countries with different deals etc.

Basically I want to pay 200 EUR for a Wii U preferably with one game or a Wii mote+ included. I check Amazon (UK/DE/FR) regularly but they are never that low.

What is the best way to stay up on deals, this thread? any other resources?

For Amazon I use this site

http://uk.camelcamelcamel.com/locales

Pick the Amazon store that applies to you and then you can set up alerts for when the item you require hits the amount you're willing to pay.

This thread or Hotukdeals. You basically missed a good bundle with Just Dance, NintendoLand and New Super Mario Bros. over at ShopTo, you could still get the Basic Wii U bundle for 150 Pounds plus shipping. No game or Wii Remote included though.

This thread is one way , it would also help if you specified which country you are in - a lot of the deals here are more UK focused but there are occasionally international ones which come up

Its probably also keeping an eye on somewhere like http://savygamer.co.uk/ as the team there will post deals which although are UK centric will be available to Europe

In the grand scheme of things how good a deal is this? I don't really have much interest in Nintendoland or Just Dance...

In the grand scheme of things, it depends how many other games there are that you want to play on it. If you can come up with, say, ten games you want to play on a Wii U, then anything up to £250 for a bundle is worth paying because you're going to get a lot out of it. So £155 is great, regardless of games (play NintendoLand though.)

If you'll struggle to come up with anything like that many, then it's not worth it.

Thanks for the advice. I am in Luxembourg so I generally look for uk/dutch/french/belgian/german retailers who will ship to lux

In that case t might be worth it to just drive to Belgium (or The Netherlands).

E.g. Game Mania have the White 8Gb Wii U + Wii Remote Plus + Wii Party U + Nintendo Land for €199.

https://www.gamemania.be/Default.aspx?tabid=87&gmgame=29506

Also Bart Smit have the same pack for the same price.

They don´t deliver to Luxembourg. But Belgium´s not extremely far. You´ll only find Game Manias and Bart Smits in the Flemish part of the country though (so: the north).

Let me know if you´re interested and need more help with it.

Duck Tales Uh Uh (Wii Uh) - 7.50EUR on the eShop atm

Someone owns it on Wii U in Europe? I wonder if the "skip cutscenes" option is included. They only patched it into the US PS3 version and not into the European PS3 version. It seems Wii U version works properly and doesn't have performance issues like the PS3 version has.

Thanks for the advice. The consoles ALMOST there for me I think.

Bayonetta 1 + 2 (never played the first)
Smash Bros
Mario Kart
Wind Waker
New Super Mario Bros U
Donkey Kong
Hyrule Warriors

That's a decent amount of games...

Yeah, 8 games is a good amount. Plus there could be some indie titles you're interested in as well as upcoming games.

Where is 3D World?!

I'm tempted by some of the Xbox one digital downloads for Assassins Creed unity which are pretty cheap from US sellers at the moment but all of the listings seem to state £6 additional postage required. Is this something I will have to pay even if the seller states that the code will be emailed to me? Not sure if the seller or eBay is adding this on...

Message them. It's likely they left the auction at the defaults to shp international orders to an eBay shipping centre and there may be a way around it.

So us getting it for £5 at some point was a bit of a pipe dream, was it? ;-)

We are doomed :(

My Neighbour Totoro Steelbook (BluRay+DVD) - 11pounds (!!!)
Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind Steelbook (BluRay+DVD) - 11pounds
Ponyo Steelbook (BluRay+DVD) - 11pounds
Howl's Moving Castle Steelbook (BluRay+DVD) - 11pounds
Elephant Man Steelbook (2000 copies worldwide) - 12pounds
Silent Hill Revelaitons Steelbook - 9pounds

@ zavvi

I'm sure the Studio Ghibli Steelbooks will be gone fast.

Thanks, I really appreciate it. Ya its not that far. I am sure I can find a Game Mania within a couple hours drive. I hope the deal will still be available in Jan or Feb, I am a bit broke at the moment :)

I might go to my local GM today as they have the Jak & Daxter Trilogy on PSVita for €13.

Will ask how long the current deal lasts if I go there.

You might already be aware, but just a headsup: J&D Trilogy is supposed to be an awful port, has the worst reputation of all the Vita remakes by far (and not all of the other ones were that hot either..).

Oh, I see. I was going to look for reviews later today actually. Thanks for the heads up! Will probably go for the PS3 version in that case. Unless that one is awful too.

Is there any reasons why Capcom is not giving Resident Evil HD a retail release? It is digital on all platforms with an exception for PlayStation 3 for Japan only.

Yet they are giving us Revelations 2 a retail release alongside with the digital release. The good news is that it is not like the Drakengard 3 discrimination.

Is it worth asking Capcom for a retail release? Petition?

What platform are you buying it on?
