As X1 user OK with the ROTR deal, I'm fine with this deal because it somehow is going to make the game better and the investment safer but I will remain exceptical about the extent of the agreement as I was with the ROTB announcement.
Also calling weird the positive reaction to this exclusivity compared to the ROTR one despite being marginally different situations.

We actually don't know if Sony moneyhatted or co-financed this game. Can't speak for anybody else, but for me that makes a huge difference. So it's to early to get your pitchforks out.

If it is exclusive to the PS4 for consoles, then I think Capcom's management problems are far deeper than any of us envisioned. They seem to have almost no confidence to go in alone on any big release this generation. They would have canned Dead Rising 3 without Microsoft's support, and if they can't even be bothered to take a risk on Street Fighter V of all things without Sony being a partner, then the company really has a dismal future.

Those juggles, that new Chun move, that new ink tatsumaki, none of those are in SF4 and aside from that of course it looks like SF4 it's fucking Street Fighter

Yeah, small changes. Look at how Street Fighter 2 looked and played compared to 1 - completely different game. SFA to 2, completely different. SF3 to SFA, completely different. SF4 to SF3, completely different. SF5 to SF4...looks a whole lot like 4.

I have to say that I think this may be fake. A ton of those shots in the video are from the Street Fighter documentary that Area 5 did, I believe. I dunno...I'm calling fake until announced. That "exclusively on" font looks disconnected from the rest of the video as well. If it isn't fake, I'm glad I just bought a ps4 last week, but I don't think this is real.

SF4 didn't sold 8 million like you said.
All the combined iterations, even heavily modified like the 3DS version, did.

SF4 wasn't anywhere near 8M big exactly because of the iterative nature of the game/genre.

Not even close to the same. Street Fighter V was and never not going to be made on next-gen consoles, Capcom did not need a publishing partner on this. Just don't.

Pretty sure ono said they didnt have the funds for sfv. Besides capcom isnt in the best of shape so I can see any big ip that mormally gets the go having to be put on hold. It could just be a money hat too.

I really can't agree with people saying it looks like SF IV, I think it's a lot more SF III than IV.

The stylization of the models are pretty much Street Fighter 4 Super Duper HD version, but Ryu is definitely looking like his more weathered SFIII version. Basically, like a different version of Ryu was imported into the SF4 engine.

Which is nice, because maybe it means we'll have less shit looking characters across the board and we'll get the elder god SFIII version of Ken, but it's just disappointing to see how conservative they went with how the actual models look.

I could be wrong. If something concrete comes out saying that then I guess I'm ok with this. But I think right now that's a naive position to take. If Capcom couldn't afford to make Street Fighter then they were on the verge of total collapse. It is easily one of their highest priority franchises and comes before pretty much everything except MonHun in development importance.
