Can I have a ticket, please?

Yes, just last year in June 2013 Ono said there was no money at all to make SFV. Which is why I am wondering if Sony heard that and then immediately went to make it a reality, securing exclusivity in the process.
Probably exactly that.

'Ono said Capcom can't afford SF5'
'Ask how much he wants'

It'll be interesting to see if Sony is credited for co-development or publishing. Presumably they're not, but it makes it notably different from the DR3 deal.

Too soon to announce TLOU 2. The majority of the team is working on Uncharted 4 anyway.

Probably right, but what if.......

ND were working on UC3+MP+DLC and TLoU+MP+DLC whilst expanding in a big way Then they did TLoU:R for PS4. whilst beavering away with UC4.

I don't know how many personnel >~220 the studio comprises now, but a third AAA game (TLoU 2/new ip) isn't out of the realms of possibility, is it?

They have said there are surprises....

I didn't know that! I guess Capcom is penny pinching hardcore these days if they didn't want to greenlight a new Street Fighter. With that bit of knowledge, it wouldn't surprise me one bit if Sony is funding the project.

neither am I, unless it's the only means of the game existing at all like with Bayonetta 2. I have no idea if that's the case for SFV though.

You still have no proof of this and considering how irate you get for other shitty practices in this industry it's upsetting that you're "okay" with this deal.

I'm back on the hype trainnnnnn!!!
FFVIIR will be there. This time for real, I just know it. Hashimoto is there. Their other new non-remake RPG is planned to be announced at Jump Festa, right? If it is Deus Ex, though, it wouldn't be Hashimoto presenting. FFXV doesn't need an own presentation at the keynote, right? They said they'd have more at Jump Festa for it.
So the only thing remaining is FFVIIR, right? RIGHT???
Maaan, just yesterday my hype totally deflated suddenly and now I'm getting crazy again:D

Well, I'm out at the christmas market for a while. See ya in a few hours, guys. I hope there'll be a few cool kilotons at the TGA.

Druckley are directing UC4, and there's no way they'd hand over TLoU. It's next up though presumably, Druckmann hinted at it during ComicCon, don't worry man, he's got your back.

I could have swore I saw an interview ages ago where Ono was asked about SFV and he basically said its the series he is most passionate for but that Capcom wasn't giving him the green light. Does that sound familiar to anyone else?

Yes. He also stated that it was an extremely expensive project, and quoted some insane figure per character. We were all like WTF.

Well.. I hope you're right lol. That would be a Megaton.

Sorry, save the sanctimonious bullshit for someone who hasn't been extremely consistent.

Just like when Bayonetta 2 was announced, I approved of that because the game wouldn't exist otherwise. In June 2013, Ono said there was literally no money for SFV, Capcom wasn't making it. Now all of a sudden it's coming out, PS4 and PC. Did Sony start paying to make it a reality?

I don't know. It's possible it's like Tomb Raider deal, but in that case we had hard evidence that MS paid to prevent PS4 owners from getting the game at the same time. We have no such evidence here. So I'll jump on the outraged bandwagon the second I know precisely how this came to be.

Aaaahhhh. New thread!

Ticket too please :)

Mhmm.
FFVIIr is like, legendary status as far as rumours go - along with Shenmue 3/HL-3, if any of these are ever revealed then instantly the event becomes unrivaled.

Is the FFVII remake basically Square's 'break glass in case of emergency' product, to be quickly hashed out when they're at their most financially insecure?

Yeah, but Atlus switched font for Persona 5. At least in the material thus far.

Maybe it wasnt Atlus who made the tag "This is for the Players".

That is definitely the font from Persona 3 and 4. But the art doesn't look similar like someone else mentioned.

Well it has a certain anime style to it. Maybe they just wanted to confuse people?

Edit : Okay after checking my Vita im now 100% sure that this is indeed the Persona font.
