stop being a wuss and stay awake. We're doing this for keighley. You're either with us or against us. Get your priorities straight.

Too much?

n-no...it's ok...

Thanks, wow, so hyped! Happy Keighley's rather big risk seems to have worked out so far, there seems to be a lot of buzz around the show and the teased support by pubs has been pretty big.

My pleasure! Hopefully the awards will live up to the hype. I'll be glad to see this become a successful independent venture.

MS showing nothing new. Bethesda showing nothing. And yet I'm going to make myself stay up to watch this.

I don't want to miss any bombs that drop though! Waking up to an 100+ page thread isn't as fun as taking part in those 100 pages.

I remember last year when it was billed as somewhat of a reboot of the awards and it would be classier, and that turned out hilariously. I do hope this goes well tonight.

Wow I didnt think there would be an audience for this thing. Hopefully the event is as classy as the award is. But I've been hoping for that every year that Geoff has hosted one of these award shows and it hasnt happened yet.
It's best to be like this, the BAFTAs are a classy event and do a lot for the profile of games and treats them with respect, the VGAs being something similar and not looking like a Youtube live stream with stupid jokes in really could make it something great.

In fairness, I have never expected it from him at all due to the constant connection with spike, which in turn gave me the impression that that was just his sort of thing. It was only until very recently that that opinion changed, particularly seeing him handle everything with this and blizzcon - where he was so much more professional.

Obviously demonstrating all he has with the game awards and its planning, the hopes are better than they ever have been, even if there are some dubious areas. The best of luck to him regardless. Seems he has poured everything into this and fully deserves some success

With this having no connection to SpikeTV, I'm hopeful it ends up being a respectable show. Geoff said their isn't really a host in the traditional sense and that it'll be a lot of game devs giving out awards. We'll see though.

Yeah, I have a feeling it will be a lot better without Spike involved.
