I would have given it an S if not for the shit last reveal. Overall, I enjoyed the hell out of it so I gave it an A. Fate of the Old Republic and Total War: 40k topped everything for me

Putting aside the Mrs. Piggy filler segments, there's nothing else I can give this show other than an A-.

It finally deserved it.

Geoff finally fixed the issue of padding the 2/3 point of the show (which usually had tons of commercials). He spread them out instead (instead of having a long commercial block like usual), and put some big reveals in the latter half, and that solved most of TGA's pacing issues. Finally.

Games of note...

  • Escape from Duckov (Gameplay trailer)
  • Pragmata (New footage)
  • Solasta 2 (New story footage)
  • Tankrat (Reveal with gameplay)
  • Bradley the Badger (Reveal with gameplay)
  • Stupid Never Dies (Reveal with gameplay)

  • Star Wars: Fate of the Old Republic (New reveal with Kotor original director)
  • Divinity Sequel (New reveal)

  • Saros (New story/gameplay footage)
  • No Law (Reveal with gameplay)
  • Total War: Warhammer40k (New reveal)
  • Ace Combat 8: Wings of Theve (Reveal with gameplay snippets)
  • Star Wars Galactic Racer (Reveal with gameplay snippets)

  • Phantom Blade 0 (New story/gameplay footage)
  • Megaman Dual Override (Reveal with gameplay)
  • HighGuard (Reveal with gameplay)
26 reveals from both the pre-show and main show, 16 of them new I.P.

The only slight negative when it came to reveals, was the fact that the very last game was a hero shooter.

Almost all of them with some gameplay added (aside from a few that were too new to show).

Yeah, the show was excellent. I don't know how someone can read what you laid out here and call the show "ass" as someone did above.

The biggest negative was probably that the hype got a little too out of hand (with the Half-Life 3 rumors and such). Other than that, it was an excellent show.

Gotta be honest...it was a good show for me.

Gave it a B

E33 gets deserved recognition.
Mega MAAAAAAAN
D4 Patch (playing in an hour)
Great Control trailer

new stuff that I liked:
Orbitals
Bradly the Badger (saw this AFTER the show)
release dates:
Phantom blade
Soros update

C, or 2 out of 5 David Arbour wigs.

Some decent reveals, some are way too far off, some horrible reveals, and an absolute shite ending.

C.

Most of games I care about the show like RE9 and Pragmata was already announced, there was no actual new game announcement that made me excited.

Pretty weak year tbh
Some cool announcements but not a lot of detail or gameplay

Too much waifu slop, but that's not really Geoff's fault. They gotta stop absolutely blowing through major categories but then give multiple minutes of stage time to mini choreographed 'performances' before a trailer. Pacing was steady, less high and lows. Last trailer was not the right choice

C. Not engaging so much corny and feels like i want to skip it just sleep it and watch it later
But some are worthy and some commercial ads trash to it like that gamepass, amd or that google play even amazon man i wish they never put those on awards ir reeks "ads" than being worthy to watch

Easy S. S+ if it had been a tad shorter.

I am starting to believe people are expecting too much from these shows.
I just think they don't like video games. There were a lot of good looking games in that show. Sure, it ended with a shitty team shooter but for the most part it was a good show.

B-, some genuinely cool stuff despite the leaks (Divinity, TR, KOTOR) some nice surprises ( Control 2! Ace Combat, Badger, Warhammer, NoLaw, MegaMan), some great updates (Phantom Blade 0, Saros, Pragmata, Nioh 3, RE9), I enjoyed it overall.

As I've said before, there are a lot of cynical cunts who haven't loved gaming in a looooong time but still torture their wretched lives but inserting themselves in every conversation and watching things they *predetermined* will be shit, it is what it is lol.

Solid B. Some good reveals and a couple of outstanding ones (Larian, my beloved, has returned!)

But the final reveal, the one in the prime slot, being yet another generic as fuck hero shooter dropped it from an A to a B all by itself. How much did they pay for that slot?

As far as the actual awards, I'm mostly happy. The games I pulled for won (and won big, in E33's case).

I gave it a B because we knew CO:E33 was going to win everything ahead of time so that wasn't a surprise, liek Titanic at the Oscars, but also, despite people crying over HL3, the reveals WERE pretty damn good. Control, Mega Man, Tomb Raider, Divinity, Total War Warhammer 40K, Ace Combat 8, and a bunch of release dates that are not that far away like Pragmata, RE9, etc.

Feels like the PS5 is finally going, five years in lol.

Ace Combat 8, Control 2, Total War 40K, KOTOR 3 (kinda), Star Wars Racer, Tomb Raider, Gang of Dragon, Ontos and No Law.

There is no fucking way you can't get behind any of these. I don't think you guys remember how dry these shows, and even the last few E3's, really were. There was a lot here.

Aw, poor guys. They made a really great game (a much better RPG imo) but it just wasn't a 'darling'

I'm not holding how they ended it against my overall score. I don't expect every reveal to be a banger or a genre that is for me.

CGI is the reason why no one should get behind any of these.... I'm kind of excited for Ace Combat 8 and Tomb Raider but even then, too much CGI.

I fucking I HATE that word, I dont know when this fucking thing started but now everyone on internet start using it.

Like, you hate the context it's being used in? Or that it's just overused (the way 'epic' was 10-15 years ago)? Or just don't like it phonetically (the way people don't like the word 'moist')?

Genuinely curious

This mehness

Maybe Geoff was scared to end on a Capcom reveal 2 years in a row, but everyone around clearly knows and would easily have told him that he should have flipped this reveal and Megaman.

Megaman should have been the show ender. Doesn't matter if it's 2D.

If anything, it would have bolstered his overall point about smaller games being in the driver's seat lately.

Control Resonant was the only thing previously unannounced that I'm very interested in. Besides that, was nice to see more RE9, LOTF 2, and Saros.

Phantom Blade 0, Divinity, and No Law are on wait and see.

It has become most lazy way criticize anything and these days it uses on everthing they dont like.

If someone calls the devs "lazy" and they use world "slop" to criticize games then that someone is the biggest piece of shit and has no right calling anyone lazy.

He's been doing it for years, nothing will change, he knows the gaming community, the kind of reveals they want and plays on that. It's worked for him. As long as he gathers the attention and viewing success along with everything else that entails, it will be the same routine next year.

As dreadful as some E3s were I would rather that format returned and his only influence was this show.
