The Game Awards 2014 Thread: Keighley unveils, less McHales

Looking good.

There are less women in the jury because there are less women leading the main big gaming journalism outlets.

They didn't and they shouldn't select people depending on their gender, they selected the main people of the main outlets without considering their gender as it should be.

You should ask more women to join and lead gaming journalism outlets because they deserve it, instead of asking to discriminate and replace the best candidates because of their gender.

That's what I said in the latter sentence. You seem to be implying I want some forced quota thing, but there are quite a few women in the field such as Polygon, Gamespot, Kotaku, Eurogamer. Others are often freelancers, though.

If someone were to make a live GAF chat room so as to avoid constant refreshing over the thread and spoilers for those not wanting them, I for one wouldn't mind....

I've never really understood this rational. You think directors walk around on set in a suit and tie?

I mean, one year of the night you can be not be a total schlub.

I understand what you're trying to say but meh, people do what they wanna do, whether we like it or not.

I think that if for some reason Ridge Racer 8 gets announced tonight, they need to have Kaz just get on stage and scream out "RIDGGGGGGGGGE RAAAAAAAACER" and then leave

So is Geoff Keighley worth like 7 figures?

What does he do for a living to afford to pay to use that hall, that limousine, those award statues, flying all these people to the event?

No way should Master Chief Collection lose to Last of Us for best remaster. As shitty as the online and broken problems are, Halo 2 Anniversary is a fully remastered game, with brand new graphics, audio sounds, and even better than movie cinematics from Blur.

Master Chief Collection as a whole has been so damn disappointing, but it's easily better in terms of remaster for what it achieved over Last of Us, no?
