The Game Awards 2014 Thread: Keighley unveils, less McHales

Battlefield: Hardline - "well, we thought we could push out a quick add on pack for Battlefield 4 for $60, turns out people were smarter than we thought and hated the beta, now we're trying to patch it up so it's acceptable by end of first fiscal quarter, jeff."

LOOOOOOOOOOL

I forgot this was on tonight. I don't see any new threads here on GAF, so I can assume the show has been pretty dull huh?

EDIT

BF Hardline? Nobody on Earth gives a single fuck about this game? Like NOBODY lol. Song is kinda dope though.

Cut the musical performances. Cut the ads between segments. Get more awards on stage and lets go.

I mean studio of the year wasn't even presented on stage.

Ok, I'll break down what I think so far.

This is an honest attempt at making a true to gamers game show, by Geoff. He fronted the cost up front. He couldn't get all the expensive pros to run the sound, and the cuts, and all the other technical stuff. He gives a shit though. And it shows. All of the things in this show I give more of a shit about than the abomination that was last years VGAs.

I appreciate this from Geoff. I wish more people made an attempt like he is.

This, at least feels, genuine.

It's great so far. Well organized, occasionally funny, solid announcements, and good interactions with big industry people.
