I'm going to be the voice of negativity and say that gameplay premiere looked BAD.

The world is lifeless, the graphics, especially the geometry and complexity of the environment feel way too basic, the trees were copy paste work.

Really felt like a Skyrim Zelda skin/mod, I expected something way more lively and colourful, didn't like it at all. That said I still trust Aonuma.

Gameplay looked amazing all that was going on there between the wildlife terrain layout and enemies made it feel incredibly alive and populated.

I thought it looked underwhelming

the zoomed in trees at the beginning, terrible.
bad textures and few details in the riding section, too.
I hope this will improve a lot.

I can't believe they showed it. That said, overworld looked a little lifeless. Was hoping to see it brimming with life like Xenoblade X was. Trailer would have been better.

Cool Facts: Game of War has been a hit since July 2013
The animation is stiff and the environment looks a tad sparse, but that game world looks absolutely massive.

It looks amazing and everything. Riding the horse was so fluid. But man, I'm seeking of every game morphing into the same archtype. I just finished Dragon Age 2 ... enough open world horse riding for now.

World as shown looked empty and it was hard to tell whether the graphics were good apart from the grass and shadows. I mean, its Zelda, but does that sneak peak realllllly justify this level of omg?

Struggling to think what reveal would've not gotten an omg reaction then.

Does this confirm gaf will only be happy if Nintendo shows something and its Zelda? No matter what they show? That didnt look very good and its next year...

The world looked bland to be honest. I really hope they manage to create that hand crafted feel present in most Zelda games. If this is just Zelda: Skyrim I don't think it will work.

Looking at a game still a year away from release that is already playable in some state and people are disappointed it's looking bare on content? Come on guys this is Nintendo you know the final game is gonna be so jam packed with content you won't know what to do.

Haha some really polarized thoughts so far on it. People either are super hyped or think its utter garbage already from a bit of early game footage.

I think it looked neat. The mechanics are there that we'll see, and I think those matter the most right now. Riding around and not having to worry about running into trees is neat. Fighting on horseback could be awesome if there's enemies that can keep up to Epona.

Man, all I care is that this is a Zelda game, on a big, and what looks to be beautiful, environment. Can't wait to see some dungeons, little towns, crazy NPC's. Hyped as fuck.

Yes, a little rough around the edges still - and needs more... life. Still. It's fucking Zelda. It is going to be glorious.

You can show real time gameplay and show A) direct feed and B) something exciting and novel and not act like stuff Skyrim and Red Dead did 3-5 years ago is fresh and innovative. "look epona will control himself and you can move the camera around and not worry about hitting trees!" Congrats you invented fast travel.

How can you tell anything like the quality of textures from a tiny off angled shot like that.

I really gotta see more to get excited, I guess showing the open world is fine, but not for less than 3 minutes. I'm more interested in seeing what else we can do.

I'm sure the game will be GOAT, but what's up with these poverty ass reveals for motherfucking Zelda games? Ever since Skyward Sword, they show new Zelda stuff in the most boring way possible. I want to see a TP level trailer, dammit.

Wow surprised they showed it! I'm afraid Nintendo saw a little too big here. How are they going to fill this world? Wait and see I guess, it's Nintendo after all. The horses animations were fantastic.

Really hoping the fields will contain secrets in them and it's not just large fields for the sake of large fields. Either way I'm still hyped for this

Some reeeeeeally rough looking textures in this game.

But at least it looks like they're going whole hog with the open world thing.

That looked really early. Looks good though.

To all the people complaining about motion controls, the last couple zelda games have had motion aiming and you can just choose to use the stick instead if you want.

People complaining about this being hype killing and barren overworld: THIS GAME IS IN DEVELOPMENT

Quote for emphasis.
Remember when Hyrule Warriors was first shown and then how the final game looked?
My guess is that they will put a LOT of work into that overworld until release.

That zelda stuff looked pretty bad honestly, I still have high hopes, but the ground textures were N64 tier and all they showed was link running around on a horse. The slow mo stuff was cool. I hope they fix those textures though.

Huge world (since they said the map was just a fraction of the entire world in the game), hope that theres a lot to do and not just empty forests and hills/mountains to climb.
