Uncharted 4 Gameplay Demo [Up: Sony - Was running at 30 fps]

Except the black regions on the ND logo in the Gamersyde video aren't black.
Check by yourself with a color picker.

With the footage inside the cave it's pretty obvious they fucked up teh brightness, you don't even need a flashlight to see.
I want footage with proper brightness/gamma :(

Its bad people can't accept the 2 best games of 2015 will be only on PS4(Uncharted 4 and Bloodborne)
Just buy a PS4 and be happy.

edit : lol seeing those big gifs
Already the best looking game

Stop being absurd. You haven't even played those two games yet and you're already declaring them the best games of next year. I have no doubt they'll both be great, and I fully plan on buying both, but lets tone down the system war hyperbole.

I carefully dissected the Gamersyde videos:

Minus:
  • Dithered translucent vegetation (see e.g 6:15 )

Half res webm, as promised (full video too compressed to matter)
http://a.pomf.se/qpvnci.webm

That seems to be a conscious design choice to bring in transparency in order to avoid obscuring the camera.

Gamma correction wouldn't be the solution if, like it's been suggested earlier, the footage has been recorded with limited RGB settings.

So it is not translating over correctly when seen on monitors or on tele through a monitor. However, isn't the same issue given the video can't be seen correctly unless profiles are matched and played back through PS4 on RGB limited?

Did anyone else notice how nobody was shooting at Drake during the fist fight, but after the fist fight ended he was immediately shot at?

Also, that gunfight area was large. The gameplay looked to pay off well from it.

Ah great, the Ubisoft fanboys have arrived.
Ubisoft fanboy? Is that even a thing? I'm a big Uncharted fan I've played them all even Golden Abyss. I think its a great looking game but they really did their selves a disservice saying the reveal trailer was in game in engine.

They said the trailer was in-engine. And it was.

So what's your "argument" here?

I'll give ND benefit of the doubt and say the A.I. didn't want to shoot their team-mate. Whether thats the case or not, thank god I can't get shot dead while melee-ing someone.

People tore Watch Dogs apart before it was released due to the downgrade in graphics from the first reveal.
Watch Dogs was the biggest downgrade I've ever seen. It was initially the very first game that looked "next gen" but it turned out to be a massive lie. And unlike U4, we saw multiple, not just one, gameplay demos beforehand that looked far better.

Level design is great. Gameplay borrows some of the best parts from Tomb Raider (climby hook) and Assassin's Creed (stealth grass). It just looks like a lot of fun to play.

They're probably saving the big setpieces for E3. I can't wait.

Looks like they will indeed be emphasizing stealth more in this one with a larger variety of gameplay options.

Bruce Straley and Druckman are top tier directors. So fking excited by Bruce Straley's comments on twitter. To answer his question - The best possible world.

Just like Stratley mentioned the stealth is completely taken from TLOU and not from the lousy stealth in TR.

there isn't.

the black regions on the naughty dog logo are black while the background that the logo is on isn't black.
I'll check screenshot levels when I get a chance, but he's probably right. Despite what you noticed there, this really looks like they messed up gamma levels or something. Maybe not for static assets, but for all the realtime visuals footage. Easiest way to check is to find something that's a complete black on any of the screenshots. If you can't, then some gamma setting has been messed up.

drake's "bro" looks like that detective guy from arrow. hehe

also...liking the stealth reset. that's one thing i hated about the previous games. you try and play stealth, get seen by one guy, and suddenly the enemies know exactly where you are and are firing on that position without even having line of sight. so dumb.

I think this is different: Watch Dogs had gameplay originally and those graphics got downgraded, while UC4 had something "in-engine", and as this is the first gameplay, you can't compare it to other gameplay and say it looks worse.

Yikes at the hair. There's definitely a downgrade there... And I say downgrade cuz the E3 reveal was supposed to be in-game footgae, right?? Everything else on today's video like the skin texture continues looking really good though

just saying "different lighting" is a bit of a co-out. Yes, of course having a different number of lights while rendering a scene makes a difference, and performance agrees.

Because people have no faith in ubisoft. I would blind buy Uncharted 4 just based off of Naughty Dogs reputation.

what are you talking about. People loved the gameplays for unity. Only when the non-controlled scenarios with glitches and all that happened it began to be a hate fueled machine. I was hyped for the coop play in AC.

I really like how big that gunfight area was.

In the previous games the gunfight areas often aren't anywhere near that big, and so you often have enemies sort of compiling together which is why you often find yourself popping in and out of the same piece of cover for a while trying to kill the "clogged" group.

But this game seems, possibly, inspired more by Uncharted's online multiplayer or something because, here, you seem to face one or two guards at a time. They're all spread out more. And so you're moving around quicker, and more often, and engaging with more individual micro-areas during a firefight because there's no blockage of enemies keeping you in one or two areas, bringing significantly more gameplay variety to the firefights and making them feel more like their own levels.
