I need a sexy looking racer in my life but feel I should be buying and all-around polished product. Is Driveclub there yet?

Netcode is working great now. No issues on my end.

Wind gusts are what really cause the white outs and low visibility. To be more dynamic, the snow should fall more realistically, and hazardous conditions and visibility it should be tied to wind - with open sections of highway being most susceptible.

This is a small criticism. I think they've doe an unbelievable job with the weather effects overall. Just, driving in snow doesn't look like that. In the video, it just kind of looks like you are in hyperspace or something.

Yeah I feel that way as well, the snow seems to fix your eye into a specific origin point its coming from, when you see it, you always see it. Mostly in chase cam.

Even so, the weather looks unbelievable. Really great stuff.

Love that video. I was only up there this Summer. Eilean Donan castle where you start, drive through Lochaber (I recognised the turnoff on the left where there coach stops for 5 minutes for a cigarette break, and there's a chippy), then over the Skye bridge (no lighthouse, bit of artistic license there) and on with the turnoff to Kyleakin on the left.

Marvellous stuff.

The rainstorms look gorgeous, they really did a great job with them. As good as the rain can look in Horizon 2, even the worst weather comes off rather tame.

I'm not a fan of their representation of snow, however. At least that's what I think I saw in one of the videos.

It's because it's viewed from a camera's perspective. It actually looks very close, dead on actually, to seeing a dashboard cam in a car driving through snow in real life.

How's the rain physics with cars such as the Atom, the Mono or the Cateram? There's no windshield but water should be deflected when speed is high enough. Does the game handle that?

No, the solo campaign has preset weather which was set before the weather patch. However, future DLC packs will most likely be affected.

Additionally, single event racing is affected and you can set whatever weather you like for whatever track in the game. Vanilla or DLC.

Not what is already there but future tours will obviously use weather so we'll likely get all of the tour tracks with weather by the time they stop supporting it. Hopefully they'll add an option to create and share tours at some point too.
