Are you talking multiplayer events? Because single player events and challenges are crazy quick to drop back to the menu, change things and jump back in. At least I can't think of a single other racing game that gets anywhere even near the ballpark of DC's quick load times and transitions.EDIT:
While I'm thinking of improvements it would improve things if it was possible during an event to pause it and select to change the car your using if you're clearly using the wrong car for the job, At the moment it's so slow to change the car and get back to an event so if they could somehow add that so that you don't have to go through several menus to quit out to the cars and more menus to get to the start of the race again.
Nope. Replay mode is one thing, and photo mode another one. I want both!T500RS user here. I know what you mean, but isn't a reply mode supposed to drop soon? I think that might be an even better solution.
Sanity prevails! That was always a stupid situation, nice to see they fixed it up eventually (even if it was really only relevant while the servers where down which isn't an issue now lol).Improvements:
* Adds the ability to access Club Cars when offline.
* Adds the ability to access Club Paint Jobs when offline.
I cannot believe this shit looks like this. My lord. This is the best looking racing game I've ever seen now, man what I would do for a PC that could run this at 60fps for ultimate perfection.
I had some reservations about the 30fps, but the game really controls very well. AFAIK, the simulation runs at a higher framerate than the graphics.
If you told me that's a video from real life, I'd believe you. Here's my Ariel Atom Kyle hot lap in bumper cam in the thundering rain.

Beautiful.
Can anyone confirm the aliasing fix?
There is a very noticeable difference.

Think I had a little prang

The weather masks it I think. Someone in here said there's no aliasing improvement. Someone said there is.
We need screenshots of India on sunny day pls
Can you all just stop with the weather for a minute and upload some?
Why do people play from cockpit view? I mean, sure it looks nice, but doesn't it restrict your vision?

Like what some people believed with the previous game update, but direct comparison in fact showed no noticeable change. Can anyone confirm the aliasing fix?

Immersion and feedback. Hands on the steering wheel gives me a better sense of the way the wheels are pointing and how much I'm pushing on my inputs (controller user here), subtle camera shifts give a great sense of speed and the forces at work on the car, and I actually dig looking at the car's actual dash to see speed and revs. Why do people play from cockpit view? oh I agree, it's one of the best pure racing experiences I've played in probably half a decade or more. It cannot be overstated just how great Driveclub is as a racing product; it's sublime.
I just am a graphics whore and my brain is swimming imagining all these graphics @ 60fps. One day, Ps5 remaster *swoon*
All tracks are free, they gave away one tour pack as well.So I heard EVO was giving away free DLC.
Which ones, if any, are they giving away? I just bought the game
You should get free access to the previous month's DLCs, Ignition and Photo Finish packs. So I heard EVO was giving away free DLC.

Honestly, when I'm racing seriously in this game its always the farthest 'behind the car' view. I only used the cockpit view for effect in my video, I thought it would make it look a bit more realistic. Why do people play from cockpit view? Style over substance?
Now I'm tempted to buy this game, thanks for nothing.A hot lap at night during snow:

The game is virtually unplayable in these conditions, lol.
Because it's so cool when you crash your car.Why do people play from cockpit view? I mean, sure it looks nice, but doesn't it restrict your vision?

yup, gotta memorize the brake pointsYeah...pretty much impossible to actually drive at a decent speed. Other views help, though.
Not at all. The game is, at its core, one of the best racing experiences on any platform.
That said, I mostly take part in drift mode to remain at the top of the leader board and drift challenges from other clubs. (I'm currently leading a club drift challenge on Chile in the Marussia). Racing in racing games doesn't do a lot for me, but I will redo the same stretch of track for hours.
