Yeah they should totally do that, and why not make the new Zelda a visual novel while they are at it?I think that Nintendo should pander to shipping culture
I hope some dungeons are well hidden, in the ran-past-it-twenty-times-on-the-way-to-other-dungeons-without-noticing way.
They'd be missing out on fanservice for a large portion of their audience, but whatever.
...you mean like bumping uglies? Is anyone else hopeful that Nintendo will embrace the DeviantArt community a bit more with this release and offer various romance options? I think the graphical style is perfect for some more mature interactions between Link and other characters.
Who wants Ganon/Ganondorf to be the villain? *raises hand*
I want to see this magnificent bastard in glorious HD with a new design.
If not, who? A returning villain or a new one? (That will somehow still be related to Ganondorf. I'm looking at you, Skyward Sword.)
Link has always been sort of a ladies man even if he doesn't know it
I wonder if there will be an itemto fly around the map other than the sailcloth. The map looks to awesome and huge to not fly around it.(or a bird)
That's a good idea, i was thinking maybe they can incorporate it into late game content. Maybe you need to go up to the mountains to hunt down a dragon and if you beat him, it'll allow you to ride him. Maybe this is only doable right before the final dungeon (or after) in order to reach the final dungeonAn idea I've been toying around with (and this is just me making shit up) is that Nintendo could release a "B Quest" as DLC, with retooled dungeons/progression and a bird instead of a horse. Nintendo is ALL ABOUT DLC lately and I don't believe they will skip out on it for Zelda, their biggest release of 2015.

Also, has anyone imagined how amazing big bosses should look in this game? Imagine beast ganon hunting you down in Hyrule Field

I'm not even going to bother trying to convince you guys anymore, you're obviously close minded, which is funny considering how radical a departure this game is.
Let's discuss Link's tunic instead.

We've already seen Ganondorf when he is first a human and then when he come backs from his two very different defeats. It was interesting to see his personality differences in both but now I would love a new incarnation of Demise's hatred.
Skyward Sword´s implied coming of Age / childhood romance stuff was ok.
Honestly I would love a game set before Wind Waker. Considering in that timeline Link Majora hasn't happened it would be cool if he was the villian.
He's once again trying to drop the moon and you want to stop him. In the end though you fail and the moon destroys the land leading to the world of Windwaker.
Aside from that I think it would be cool to have it take place between Orcarina and Twilight or Orcarina and Wind Waker with Ganondorf still imprisoned.
With him out of the picture Impa would be the new bearer of the Triforce of Power (as was planned back in Zelda 1).
As for the villain a new one or Vaati would be great. Vaati just to establish him more as an alternative to Ganondorf as a series villain.

He can look like Ganondorf/Demise but have him be new without any of the past history of Ganondorf.
Oh. My. God. That's an amazing idea. A rideable dragon you get towards the end of the game! Or even make it not mandatory but available halfway through the game as the game's 'big secret item' like the Biggorn sword in OoT.
Let's leave that page behind us. It's dead.
As a kid of the 80s thats an awesome post. It shows me what i dont like about Zelda anymore. For me its a Sword, a world and dungeons. Not this... stuff. Thats a mess.
Your outlandish claim of Nintendo "missing out on fanservice for a large portion of their audience" caught my interest. You vastly overestimate the size of DeviantArt Zelda fans as a group, and that's not even going into the debate over whether or not how many of them would like more "mature" romancing in Zelda games.

I don´t want anything more explicit than that, god beware Zelda wants to ride the bull .
What is this? I have no memory of this scene being in Chrono Trigger.

Seriously, if Zelda ever goes that route... that's when I lose all faith in nintendo and quit buying nintendo systems.
Agreed. Now I understand why sonic the hedgehog still has fans. People like that kind of stuff.
Fortunately for us, it looks like they're going back to their roots.
It isn't. It's fanmade.
I would say 8 traditional dungeons + final one and 4 mini dungeons would be great. The world is huge and Dungeons need to reflect that. I would like two of those traditional eight to be off the wall ideas, like the sandship or snow peak ruins. The rest are either temple like or cavern-esque.If I'm right that the game is set between OoT/MM and TP, due to the map similarities, I would hope that Ganondorf isn't the main villain again, or present, since it would first not make sense given what we know of that time period but also because it would be nice to introduce a new villain. A big thing from TP that still bothers me a lot was the fact that Zant and co were interesting and competent villains but then were just thrown under the bus in the last act unnecessarily and lost all their menace. It would be great to have some other main enemy that doesn't involve Ganondorf and stands on their own as an enemy of Hyrule. Lots of people like Vaati, but I never really cared for him.
As for Temples/Dungeons I would be happy with 4-6 really large and fleshed out traditional dungeons, big ruins and lots of rooms and puzzles that really take some time to explore and complete. Then a lot more "mini" dungeons and set pieces set in the rest of the world that don't have to be small but aren't the same traditional style dungeons, SS was big on this incorporating the world and dungeons into one. Or like Gerudo Training Grounds in OoT or Pirate's Fortress in MM.
For reference:
OoT: 9 Main Dungeons - 3 Mini Dungeons
MM: 4 Main Dungeons - 6 Mini Dungeons
TWW: 7 Main Dungeons - 3 Mini Dungeons
TP: 9 Main Dungeons - 1 Mini Dungeon
SS: 7 Main Dungeons - 2 Mini Dungeons
My Ideal ZU: 5 Main Dungeons - 8 Mini Dungeons
I think 5 really big dungeons, plus 8 mini ones with wildly different styles would be a good mix to sate my dungeon desires, and then the remaining focus of the game being on the overworld itself and possibilities it provides for exploration, puzzles and what not would make up the rest of the game. With a big overworld like that it needs to have a lot of scenarios like the King Bulblin fight in Hyrule Field or the Twilit Bloat in Lake Hylia from TP, which we've thankfullly already seen in the first teaser.
Yeah it looks like it. I have high hopes for this game.
Now for a Metroid with an equally ambitious world.. underground.

Nintendo's track record for sequels has been phenomenal the last few years. If nintendo is planning on going back to metroid... I have much more faith in them than I did 4 years ago.
We've had ALBW, Mario 3DLand/World, DKC:TF, Smash 4, which have all been some of the best in their respective franchises, if not THE best. Hopefully 'desperate nintendo' can make a really good metroid game.
As much as people whine about it, I really like the 2-3 intro dungeons that lead to the master sword. Especially if you can tackle a couple of them in any order, like ALBW. It provides a great divide, to me anyway, between the 'hey, explore this peaceful world' and 'oh man, shit just got real, time to buckle up and defeat evil.'
They skipped out on dlc for SM3DW a game that was not only their biggest release of 2013, but also perfectly suited for dlc. While Nintendo has certainly embraced dlc for games like smash, mk8, and even pikmin, I think they know that Zelda, like Mario, is one of those games that people want as a "complete" package.

Well the sail cloth is almost exactly the same as SS in terms of design (and i only say almost because we don't have any HD footage of the sailcloth yet). So this link might actually be SS link, the very same. So he might still have some of his items at the start of the game. You never know. Also, I wonder if we'll be rewarded for exploring early on, or if things will block us off, preventing us from exploring too much, OR, if it's just for fun and pointless. In ALBW, you can explore 70% of hyrule field before you even get the sword. It's fantastic. It's pointless, but you can talk to people and they say unique things that they never say anywhere else in the game. Exploring was its own reward at that point.
I can imagine that you don't START with the sailcloth or even weapons, so exploring the full world is likely impossible from the get-go, but I do wonder how far they'll let us go right from the start and if we'll be rewarded for doing so? If there are 'beacons' or checkpoints (think the statues in MM that serve as warp points later on), then exploring those early could help you later on when you need to fast travel. Hopefully you can draw on the map, too, to remind yourself to revisit secrets you found but can't access (need bombs/hookshot, etc, to enter)
hahaha... this gif is so perfect

Story-wise, I would like this game to have a dark ending.

If they bring Ganon/dorf back at least make the final battle not only look but also feel epic.
I loved the fist time I fight against Demise in SS and all the battles with Ghirahim were really fun, or the final battle with Ganon in OOT.
More of that and less of that piss easy final showdown against Ganondorf in TP.
Well we already have the sailcloth, so not having a loftwing would be such a waste...I wonder if there will be an itemto fly around the map other than the sailcloth. The map looks to awesome and huge to not fly around it.(or a bird)

I'm 100 % sure that we will fight ganon and put a sword through him.
