so... today i was listening to Cat Rider by Little Dragon on Spotify and then an ad started playing and i was like "whatever" because cute little song ads come up all the time... but then 30 seconds later the song was still playing and i clicked over and saw

and i had to listen to it all the way through (which was fine at first tbh because the song was a bit of a bop)

and then my music came back and THEN the ad came on again

like what in the fresh hell? the song is cute but not THAT cute, and they could have AT LEAST played the original version. the remix is just okay in comparison.

anyway GAF, thoughts about 4 minute song ads? i honestly might have to resubscribe because im not here for this. i was subscribed for a couple of years and then the free people kept getting more of the same features that i was paying for so i said fuck all of that and didnt subscribe again and dealt with the tiny ads. but now...? ch... i guess spotify wins.

Doesn't seem right. There's no way spotify could expect people to put up with that, and after making the huge leap of making the free edition so open they're not just going to make it unusable like that.

Used it almost daily and I still have my subscription. So good.
