Sounds like some of yall are having luck with TRU. I'm on hold with them over the phone asking if they had the new wave. I'm sure they have no idea what I'm talking about and put me on hold in hopes I will hang up. I think I'll make a pit stop after work if I have to hold much longer.

If I find any of the rare trio when I go on some outings later this week across Chicago, DC, and then Philli (go go conference trip right before Christmas), I'll pick them and put a notice on here for how many I found. I'll be happy to also help people get some of the rare ones without having to pay for more than shipping, lol.

Oh! It's already December 11th! My preorders got pushed back to the 14th and I honestly thought we were still in November. Huh. I'll see if we have them when I go into work tonight.

Mine says the same. I am a bit nervous though to be honest. Probably fine and I'm just being paranoid but if I see Little Mac, Diddy, or Zelda I'll probably go ahead and grab one unless there are an absolute ton on the shelf.
I wonder how Nintendo decides how much to ship the lesser characters like Diddy, Little Mac, Captain Falcon, etc.. I wouldn't have expected Diddy to be shipped in such low quantities as a lot of people are reporting,
Australian from Sydney here. Wave 2 got released today and from what I saw on my 1hr hunt in the CBD is that Little Mac is the rarest of all of Wave 2, with all retailers only getting 2 Macs each. Pit and C.Falcon complete the "Rare 3" of Wave 2, with several places today having lots of Luigi and Zelda, with spottings of Diddy here and there.
Some impressions:
Captain Falcon: Looks alright. I hate the white stand, but he wouldn't be stable without it. In the ones I've seen, his shin guards and boots aren't completely gold as they have rusty brown streaks all over. The falcon emblem on his helmet is nice, so too is the decal on his back. The falcon emblems on his gloves, on the other hand, looks like the letter 'v'. His gun and its holster has smudgy painting. He has a dynamic pose and is one of the taller figures so far.
Little Mac: I've only seen two, but he looks great. Very simple design, but I like the little touches here and there like the edges of his singlet and the painted shoelaces. Like Cap, his pose is very dynamic and doesn't really fit with the wave 1 amiibo.
Pit: Probably the most detailed of wave 2 so be sure to check him out properly. I like the detailing of his wings, crown, sandals, and those things on his hands. In the packaging, a lot of the ones I've seen had marks here and there (mostly on his toga and wings). Upon opening the one I got, I was able to rub off a mark on his left wing. A fault in the Pit I got is that the design on his toga is about 90% consistent; there's an overlay of the gold skirting imposing on the design. His face is nice and he is taller than Captain Falcon (mainly because of the bow, wings, and stand).
Zelda: Zelda's ok. She's too blob-like for my liking, but she looks nice from afar. The detailing on her shoulder guards is mediocre and it's a bit disappointing that the top part of her dress merges with her skin instead of going over it. I like her braid though. Also, for you pervs, I'm kinda disappointed that they covered up the pants she wears underneath (there's no trace of it at all). All you can see are her boots.
Luigi: Probably the best amiibo of the bunch in terms of quality, but that's to be expected.
Diddy: Looks ok for the most part except for his derpy eyes.

Ah sweet. I pre-ordered them when they first came up so hopefully they'll adjust the price accordingly soon. I know I could cancel and then reorder them but I had a £5 coupon and I'm not sure if I'd be allowed to apply it to the new order.

Yup, I had a look in Chatswood and Macquarie this morning, found one Little Mac. Dude's the new Marth.
I'm in the same boat but I'm not too worried. I hope they come. Let's see what happens. They put a few at 12/30 and a few at 12/14 for me.

Did you visit Target? My local Target had two Macs, about six or seven Falcons, four Pits, five Diddys, and a dozen or so Luigis and Zeldas.
My local EB Games, on the other hand, had two Pits, two Zeldas, and a Diddy; whereas JB had none of the new ones.
Anyway, good luck Aussies!
Apart from Luigi and Zelda, I think it's pretty much a hit or miss.

Hmmm... I've currently got a big order of Wave 3/4 with Nintendo store but if they are that price on Amazon then I could shove them into flubit and get them for under £10 (like I've got orders for Pit and Captain Falcon at sub £10). Think I'll wait to see how those orders go first before I try and shove my entire order through Flubit.

Toys R Us is the most common place, check there! I got Diddy (only one when I got there) little mac and zelda. Tons of little mac too I was surprised.
Eh, maybe I'll just do this then. I don't plan on ever selling them, and if I don't think I have the space for all the boxes of the ones I plan to get.
I've still yet to see Link. Considering he's highly stocked, he really must be selling bucket loads.

The employee said he didn't see any other of the wave 2 amiibos go on sale. There was 1 Kirby left, so I picked him up anyways even though I had no intentions of even getting him. The packaging was even a little dmg, but that last copy though. There were a few dozen of the older cast except for the rare ones which there were none. This TRU had a good size section for amiibos so even the wave 1's are depleting.

I asked about the exclusive preorder. The employee I talked to seems to be keeping up with the amiibo hype, but he still haven't heard when TRU will do it in-store.
They had a B1G1 40% sale that also applies to amiibos. $14 for 1.
