Found a wii fit trainer at Walmart and a little mac at target. Saw Diddy too but no interest in that one. Target had two rows each for Diddy and Zelda but only one for little mac.
I hate Nintendo for making me spend money on stupid plastic toys

Just wanted to sound off: Target I work at got only Little Mac and Zelda but received plenty of them. I don't think little mac will be a repeat of marth thankfully

I have a question about how these things function:
In Smash, if you want to train up an AI version of your favorite character, do you need to have the matching Amiibo for that? For example, if my favorite character is Marth and I want to level him up a bunch with my amiibo, do I need to have the Marth amiibo? Or can I use a Zelda amiibo to level him up because it doesn't matter as long as I have an amiibo?

So my Gamestop wasn't lying about only 1 Zelda in the shipment, I was there when they opened it.
Has to be the matching amiibo, I'm pretty sure. The chips have the character data on them.

Have had all of wave 2 preordered on amazon since day one. Just got an email to expect Zelda on the 17th but no update on the others. What the hell is going on?
Same here, but at least that's some kind of movement. I'm more confident now that the others (at east those out this week) will follow suit shortly.

Got lucky at a new ganestop by me. One little mac available. Cashier told me that she literally just put them out. I asked if they had received any more macs and she said she has 19 that are for pre orders and I got the only one that she was able to sell to a non pre order. Now I just need pit and maybe diddy from wave 2

For the record, you can upgrade your own playable character without any Amiibos. The Amiibos give you computer-only characters that train and learn with you.

Called a gamestop and they only had 1 little mac so I went to get it. The worker there said they had 5 preorders all picked up and that was the only non-preorder little mac available. No zelda or diddy non pre-orders available. Confirms that Wii Fit Trainer, Marth, and Villager have been discontinued but Little Mac isn't discontinued.

went to target to get my $4.65 wii mote and $12 wii mote, found the second wave stuff there only to be told i couldnt get zelda(they said no sale till the 14th) but i got lil mac and link(starting a collection soon ... getting my wii-u sometime next week)

The Lucario preorder sold out again. Oh well, he isn't that high on my want list. Got Shulk, Mega Man, Ike, and Dedede preordered at Gamestop, and Meta Knight preordered at Best Buy.
From what I have seen, Villager, Wii Fit Trainer, and Marth are "Discontinued", though I think Nintendo will cycle them back in at some point.
