Yea i heard that too

Most likely the bracket at the cup is just different to what is online.

Don't worry about it too much, just enjoy the matches.
There is a proper way to seed a losers bracket. They're not doing it.

It only bothers me to the extent that they've cracked down on other tournaments for not running a proper bracket, so it's just ironic as hell to see it in the top 4 of CapCup.

OK! The online bracket is incorrect, our apologies for the confusion. We have been going off an internal bracket the whole tournament!

Denying mistakes were made in the tournament. Claiming online bracket wrong

man did you catch that aside on stream

"It's a lot of money on the line y'know"

"We can put everybody in a room and let them decide"

I guess they're figuring it out

Oh man I didn't catch that (if that was really said). Dang, I hope they're taking this break then to talk to the players and get their opinion and reach a resolution that everyone's happy with. And they're just tweeting out this stuff to deter the viewers from the situation momentarily.

Or, that's just my wishful thinking... lol...

Double elim brackets are intentionally "twisted" every other round (not sure if that's the right word to use) to ensure that anyone who loses in the Winner's Bracket does not immediately face a player that they have already beaten (unless it's at the very the end I guess). The online bracket does this correctly, whatever paper brackets they're using didn't.

So this is why Ultradavid took so long to confirm the matchup even as Ryan and Momochi were sitting in front of the tv.

Idiots.

What the fuck am I reading?

Is this real life?

How can they fuck this up even worse now?

Really enjoying my Twitter timeline right now.

Unless they come back on and say they're rolling everything back (which they won't, it's too far gone at this point for them probably) I'm out.

There are two solutions at this point, neither ideal.

You either re-run the brackets correctly, or you pay out to the 3 players affected as compensation. Anything else isn't fair. There are also no perfect answers, they should have stepped in long before now.

I also heard the "everyone in a room" talk from the mic. Crazy. They must do the right thing and redo losers matches.

Yeah, seriously. It's wrong if they let it slide like this. I mean, even talk to the players about it at least and let them have a say and if they say they want to redo the matches, redo the matches. The event can afford to go a little overtime, it's not a big deal, and Capcom would look better for addressing it in the end instead of the event looking like a complete crock.

The hell? So you just kept it secret from the viewers just because? Or, there is no internal bracket and someone screwed up.
