Driveclub weather update out NOW. laawwwwwd.gif

Not since wipeout has a game captured that sense of exhilaration while driving incredibly fast as this game does. Did an online race using Hyper cars that had a long semi straight section and holy mother fuck. The sense of speed in this game is absolutely ridiculous.

Is there much single player content in this game? Thats all im interested in.

There is a good tour mode, takes a while to get all stars.

Free additional tour packs to do.

Unlimited challenges from friends and the community as well as single event races and drifts all with their own leaderboards for each car.

Free tracks and cars each month.

Then there is the Dlc packs for more tour content amongst other things.

Short answer: Yes

I'm not even a fan of racing games but I'm tempted to buy this just for the graphics :/

It is actually a game in itself to look for good photo mode shots. They are hard to stage, so you have to play with an eye for an opportunity. Like, you want a snap of a car catching some air, but at sunset after rain, and not all scratched up. It might take a month of playing to happen upon that combination (at least until replay mode makes it easier).

i Finally got it tonight. Only 2 copies left at my BB. Looks like the update has gotten people interested in the game again. The sales man said he sold more than 20 this week with everyone asking about the amazon price match.
Lol, I just came in this thread to say I watched a few videos of the weather update and then instantly drove out to my local best buy and picked up two copies (one as a Christmas gift for my brother) using the Amazon price match. Stayed up until 4 in the morning playing this.

There's not a huge amount of single player content in the tour, not when compared to it's peers anyway.

You'll probably burn through the tour fairly quickly, but if you enjoy time trials and setting up single events / challenges / multiplayer, it's unlimited.

Remember the 2 additional tours that are also there, and you have a nice package. A few new tours adding in the next week or so.

This game looks damn good

- I hate driving on wet tracks in any racing game ever
I'm no pro driver at all but I actually think it's easier to drive on wet roads in this game... Grip loss happens quicker but much more gradually than on dry roads which make it easier to handle. I think this weather patch is awesome and not only for the visuals. I won't forget it when the GOTY thread goes up, that's for sure.

Would be interested to see the sales of the game before the weather patch and post weather patch. This thread has driven some sales, that's for sure.

Ok waited long enough for Sony to drop the price for Driveclub during their 12 days sales promotion.
Just bough it used for 32 € with shipping. Am I missing any form of included DLC?

Bit the bullet and just got the game for £30 plus Shadows Of Mordor (for £20!) Been on the fence about DriveClub for ages but now with all the patches and gifs and videos I decided to jump in...will look forward to playing this tonight!

Glad to see more people getting on board with Driveclub.

I was doing a time trial earlier, darkness, stormy, all good stuff, and a lightning bolt struck the ground just beside the track where I was passing. Wasn't expecting it, ended up losing control of the car. Absolutely awesome.

Thought I would share a multiplayer race I did from last to first in the wet.

I used the RUF RT12 R which drives pretty well in wet conditions.
That's pretty good.

The only issue I have with the rain is that it doesn't follow the wind. At the speed you were going (and even at slower rates) rain is actually swept upwards by the force of wind gliding on the windshield, but here it just remains still. It doesn't make sense for it to do that.

Yup the weather update put me over the edge. I am really enjoying the game. Your brother should have fun. Enjoy

Really hoping the sound update drops with the new DLC tomorrow.
I don't think the DLC itself drops tomorrow... it already dropped. I think it just activates tomorrow, meaning that an actual patch for the sound probably won't be.

Um, doesn't Driveclub kind of handle like PGR? If so, why change it?
It's an old post now, I don't think herod's reared his head in this thread again. Safe to ignore him.

That's the bonnet view which is mimicking a real camera attached outside on top of the hood though, the camera is sitting straight up and isn't slanted like the windshield, so the rain is and should react similar to this. If you're looking at the windshield in DC then you'll notice the raindrops do fly upwards.
