You just have to have FAITH.
I expected to get it last week and she waltzes into the scene on a giant mech with a Gen 1 Megatron cannon on it's arm. I wasn't pissed, but I was just, "she's really not going to get fleshed out is she?" I don't even hate the character, just how she got mishandled.

Remember how Amon was HORRIBLY characterized at the end of season 1? There's still a chance. There has to be a balance to this show, I believe that she'll get good characterization this finale. BALANCE

Just the fact that they're going to be like, "Oh shit we forgot to explain her! Let's shoehorn something in" is kind of just wrong. It's supposed to be woven into the narrative, not shoehorned in.

lol nah. I feel Kuvira is gonna have a cool fight with korra. Then that's it. So far Zaheer is still the Best Villain in Korra.

Hey, they did it for Amon and people are willing to look past it. People here still get erect everytime an image or his name appears. >:(
It's not happens guys. It'll never happen.

At this point I'm certain that the writers were reading the final chapters of Naruto and thought Korra needed to be more like it.

Id be ok with this. I care not for kuvira the faster they get rid of her the better

What am I hearing?

I know nothing about Naruto.

Believe it.

Most of GAF is 30+? Man not only do I work with old people, I waste time on a forum with them. I can't allow myself to catch this disease.

Who do you think is gaming? Lol most of the people that grew up with gaming, are going to be 30 + and up.

Want to hang out with youth, then get on Tumblr or watch PewDiePie.

I don't know who PDP is, and #icant handle Tumblr's overeverything on everyone.

But I personally don't know anyone 30+ gaming. =\

I actually had a dream about the Legend of Korra finale.

Kuvira was taken out in like 2 minutes.

Everything else was epilogue

Sadly, that would prob be better then what we'll get. Because they have done a bad job with Kuvira I think an epilogue fleshing out the characters or at least giving them a proper end would do a lot more then a spectacle/action filled episode (that means little).

I'm just not invested in Kuvira, nor do I feel like...anything for the conflict she presents. So Korra just disposing of her, would be more than fine. Won't happen. They will find ways to make Kuvira more and more crazy (like how Zaheer became superman)

Strange, because if you look at the demographics, most people gaming are 30 +

30 really isn't that old tbh. AND since this is an enthusiast industry site, with a lot of devs/people in the industry, and hardcore gamers, it makes sense that the majority of GAF would be 30 on up. Even when I was reading GAF when I was 20 (used to read GAF as a guest, even 6 years back)...I always thought of this place as an enthusiast/industry site. So I always thought of it as a more adult geared site demographic wise.

TBH I'm surprised people are surprised by this. lol as if people would be 18-20 as the norm, when GAF has been around for a long time.

The episode titles seem to disprove that, though.

"Day of the Colossus" followed by "The Last Stand" makes it sound like "part 1" will deal with taking down the giant mech, while at least part of "part 2" will be Kuvira VS Korra/Team Avatar.

I honestly do hope Kuvira makes Mako look like a simp in whatever fight they have.

An idea can be more interesting than a person. Sadly.
I think Amon as a water bender could have been more interesting if he was the one who most believed his own lies.

What if, when Noatak left the South Pole, he gave up water bending entirely? No bloodbending to win fights, just physical training and sheer will.

What if Noatak was so angry at his own past, in a moment of insanity he convinced himself he was someone else?

What if Amon did have the scar, but he gave it to himself because he wanted to believe he was a different person?

What if Amon didn't think of his power to take away other people's bending as a form of bending?

What if he locked up Tarrlok not because Tarrlok would tell other people who he was, but because he subconsciously didn't want to be reminded he was just a water bender?

What if the series finale wasn't Korra exposing him to the Equalists, but Korra exposing him to himself?

I'd find that a lot more interesting than what we got. It'd make Amon a more complex character and would also make him more frightening because of his dedication.

That's the problem with Korra, it's hard not to write fanfiction what-ifs because you always end up disappointed by the direction it goes.

I mean, Kuvira isn't even that bad. She at least has a proper motivation, which Amon never got. Amon is so much cooler, though. I actually like Kuvira, but the issue is at what point did she go from "we need to help people by establishing order" to "WE MUST UNITE ALL OF THE EARTH KINGDOM!"

I think if the quality of a villain is defined by said villain's motivations (and that's not to say they are but that's a big part of it for me) then Amon is, by far, the worst villain in all of the Avatarverse (barring the comics). Unalaq was a megalomaniac, Zaheer is an anarchist, and Kuvira is a Hitler/Earth Kingdom Sozin. What's Amon?

You could say he's a revolutionary, but is he? At the end of it all, he's nothing more than a con man. His origin story amounts to "You're a bloodbender. Now be a bloodbender!" "Shut up dad you're all stupid I hate you!" Immediately proceeding to fuck right off into the night. I was hoping we'd find out he was working either for Unalaq or the Red Lotus some how this season, but that's 100% never happening. I guess you could argue that he has a genetic predisposition for being a shitbag and his cruel upbringing just sort of "made" him into a criminal, but then why the Equalists? Seems like such a large and elaborate plan, and to what end? It just doesn't make sense.

I don't consider "I want to rule the Earth Kingdom because POWER!" without any explanation as to why a good motivation, even Ozai had the excuse of being raised for that purpose.

So are we ever going to find out if Rohan is an airbender and maybe even see a glimpse of him? It doesn't seem like it would be hard to give a small cameo like during the Tenzin family scene in the prior episode. Im also curious if we will see Kya before the show ends. In that small scene with Tenzin and his family they could've thrown Rohan and Kya in there with Kya saying how she and Katara were going to watch over him at the south pole until things calmed down.

Nah, it's pretty simple. She thinks she's the best leader and that the Earth Kingdom needs to be united under the best leader. Kuvira's problem isn't motivation, it's a lack of style or complexity. She's just a power-hungry dictator.

Also, Ozai was fucking nuts. Dude tried to raze the surface of an entire continent for vague reasons. So I can understand why he was an asshole in other ways.

Kya got put on a boat, she's gone.

That's because Amon was a good villian for 90-95% of the season.

Kuvira has been a good villian for about 5% of this season, and that was episode 1 when we thought she would get some characterization at some point.

I still can't believe Toph showed up this season, and was more or less an essential character.

How wrong I was...No, it is the writers who are wrong.

Man, remember how awesome that "I am the solution" scene was before we knew he was a bloodbender?

Legitimately the entire best scene in the Avatar universe, including TLA. Such waste...

The Republic City President is a better villian than Kuvira, since he actually interacts and screws over the heroes every scene he's in.
