Direct from Blizzard moments ago:

Blizzard Entertainment invites Android™ gamers to a friendly fireside duel—Hearthstone®: Heroes of Warcraft™ is now available for Android tablet devices! Players in Canada, Australia, and New Zealand can now download the game for free on Google Play™, with the worldwide rollout on Google Play and the Amazon Appstore for Android coming in the days ahead.

Hearthstone players on Android tablets have access to all of the exciting features and content available in the Windows, Mac, and iPad® versions of the game—including the recently released first expansion, Goblins vs Gnomes™, which adds more than 120 new cards and an all-new type of minon, Mechs. Players can purchase Goblins vs Gnomes card packs in the in-game shop for gold or real-world currency, earn cards as Arena rewards, or craft them using Arcane Dust

They are also celebrating the Android launch by offering one free Classic card pack to anyone who starts one game in any mode. Google Play link for those in need.

Edit: If a mod could just add AU/CAN/NZ only at the moment in title that'd be perfect, knew I forgot something.

Great news!

I was thinking about purchasing a Galaxy Tab S soon so this news makes it even more appealing.

Too bad it doesn't work with my Galaxy S3 though.

To those looking to play it on phones, I can almost guarantee there will be a workaround eventually. Generally installing the apk seperately works though

Booted game for first time since june, had 3 packs to open, same old bullshit. Ffft, ffft, ffft, ffft, RRRRRAARRE.

Oh well. Boot it again next year.

My face sinks from the lack of a US release. Can you VPN through to this and maintain account credentials?

Does anybody know when we could expect another territory release?

Does the OnePlusOne count as a tablet? Guess not but is there a way to install it regardless? New to Android, I have no clue.

For anyone wondering, Blizzard has the actual tablet requirements on their website:

Hearthstone System Requirements

Just choose Android from the dropdown. The "requirements" merely consist of having a 6" screen, Android 4.0 and 1GB of ram. They also supply a non-inclusive list of verified devices.

If anyone wants to attempt to sideload it, here is the apk:

http://a.pomf.se/pgxcrr.apk

Note though, the game requires additional files to run. I can't seem to get them to download on my Nexus 4, so I don't know if it's blocking based on certain devices or what.

oh come on my note 3 screen is 5.7 inches. Pretty sure i can play just fine on it

I've seen reports that it won't run on the Note3. The game seems specifically hardcoded to not allow certain devices to run it.

Ya, i'm getting the same error on my Note 4. I live in Canada... any ideas?

EDIT: Also give me an error saying "You may not have purchased this item"

I don't know if it will work on android, but when released for iOS it was unavailable for NA (Sans Canada). What I was able to do was to switch to the AU App Store and download the game. Once it was installed it worked just fine since all the authentication is down on blizzards side.

Could you elaborate on how you switched the regional store? Was it through a VPN?

Thanks for the link. This put me at ease:

The following list of verified devices is not all inclusive. If your device meets the requirements above but displays as incompatible, you may be in a region that has not officially launched yet.

No VPN, in the App Store there is an option to switch stores, AU, CN, EU, ect. Once switched I made a free account, and was able to download the game. Again, am not versed on how the android store works so it may or may not work.

But 'Murica...

Whatever tho, Crossy Road is out on the Amazon app store on Thursday. That's the stuff.

Dudes on Hearthpwn are saying even if you sideload you can't download the content on a device 6inches or smaller. Bummer.

BRUH! Canada got something on Google Play before the U.S?!?

Anyways, want..... Rip the APK or some such
Posted earlier in the thread, but it hangs on trying to download additional files.
The additional files will probably end up around the internet soon enoug .

Someone at reddit is uploading the obb files so it might be possible to play outside the countries, and with phones, especially if rooted

Can confirm it working on a TF300T with Lollipop ROM (Custom) without sideloading

not to derail thread, but this post is exactly why android tablet/phones are hard pressed to take to market

how the hell would anyone off the street know what this is.

I couldn't find it on the playstore here in Canada BUT i found a link in a reddit thread clicked on it through the tablet and got HS.

Here is the link:)

Not all users are as dumb as they are made out to be, plus you need to know none of this when you simply click it on the store when it's readily available.
