Yeah it's hard to know whether people are scalping him knowing he'll be rare or people generally like King Dedede, who knows plenty of penguin fans, and he'll no doubt be compatible with Kirby canvas curse.

Whelp preordered, but at Shopto getting a February release for Shulk though, edit: actually got that for Meta Knight and King Dedede so I guess they are shipping the second batch of wave 3 at 20th February. Edit: Add Mega Man onto the list.

Once the Rosalina amiibo is out, you can also use the website to check "find in stores" and choose "in store pickup". It's how I locked down my Marth way back in the day.

I mentioned it in the other amiibo thread (about Rosalina), but the clerk there told me that Nintendo has informed retailers that they'll be doing a massive re-release of the entire set sometime after wave 3 comes out.

I hope she's telling the truth. If so, suck it, scalpers!

As promised, I went to Best Buy and they had nothing. I still think they're waiting to release everything on Friday. I went to Toys "R" Us and I picked up Luigi though :) . They did not have a Mac or diddy, but had a couple Zeldas. No pit or falcon either.
 
Local game stop has nothing and best buy had the same few first wave but they had a truck unloading they wouldn't know what was on it he did have one Zelda and one diddy kong I would like pit.
This is in the Chicago area as well.

Yeah I never went for Dedede or Meta Knight even though I knew they'd sell out. They both look awesome but I don't care about the Kirby IP. Shulk was an instant pre-order, liked the look of Ike so I got him too and Mega Man was a must buy. Ordered 2 of each, was gonna cancel one set but may keep both now.

I think GAF should update to include regions under member's names. It would really help in a thread like this. We could then look out for one another better!

Thanks for letting the thread know. I am going to wait until Friday to look then.
Edit: Checked Target online and the only new one they had was Zelda. Lame.
 
My cousin just informed me that some stores may be getting all of them in again on Friday. All of them. Even hard to find rare ones, according to a manager at a BB.

Of course, whether or not this is true, who knows? The manager could easily have just told him that not knowing the issues of finding some. Needless to say, I'll be meeting him at said BB early morning on Friday.

Yeah. Tried that with Diddy twice. Both times they sold them before they could "walk them from the back of the store."

They need to put a 1 per customer limit on these, even in store. I know there are ways around that, but that would give those of us not trying to scalp them a fighting chance.
 
Getting these Amiibos are so exhausting and expensive. I am so glad I am not into Pokemon or Animal Crossing. I would be broke.

I think he is correct in that a shipment of them is coming on Friday. Best Buy told me they were getting Wave 1 and Wave 2 restocks that day. I am not sure if he is right about all of Wave 1 getting restocked though.

Sounds plausible. It's gonna happen sometime anyway judging by the recent European restock
 
It's either I order Rosalina from an international source or just hit up target on release.. at least I work next door to one.

Bah, I'm not going to play Target's game of forcing people that want one to constantly check their website for a small preorder window. Everywhere else had pre-orders up for several days and some are still up.

I'll try to get it at the store when it releases and keep watching this thread for updates but I'm already going to mentally accept I'm probably not going to get her.
 
From what I understand I don't think the last 3 will be out until the end of this week. Gamestop still doesn't have the latter 3 of wave 2, at least mine doesn't. There was at least 1 reserve of each, more of Cap but still haven't gotten any in or any as shown in transit. So it may not be til later in the month or it may be like an overnight thursday to friday thing.

You need to hit up Targets the moment you hear even rumors that she's started showing up. Use the DCPI (207-00-5021) and ask a random target person if they could help you find an item. If it shows up as "in stockroom", many unwitting employees will fetch one for you. Then you just have to hope their system doesn't prevent the purchase.

I was worried that there was an error at Argos but I just picked up Marth, Villager and trainer (plus Pikachu for the multibuy deal). So happy, I didn't think Id get them.

Now to try and cancel my play-Asia order. I suppose EU right to cancel laws don't apply to them?
 
Just stopped by the toysrus in langhorne pa. Boatload of luigis, also all the wave 1 commons seem to be plentiful including samus and Fox. I was here three days ago and there were at least 16 zeldas which are all gone now. Employee I spoke too said all they got was Luigi and no clue when they'll get another shipment or what will be in it.
 
Even in Europe Little Mac seems to be a rare one.
French Gamestop that I went has gotten just one of them, the same for Pit. That was my lucky day.

Oh and I saw in another store with some rare from the wave 1, 2 WFT and one villager.
