awesome, I'll add people from my bracket when I get home! I can have some games tonight, I'll look around here if any on those users is available, good luck to everybody!

Don't you hate when people beat you because they are so used to their own input lag? Hate it.

Just played a guy who I beat twice but he wouldn't play me on Pilot Wings. I thought we could be good friends since he loved One Piece. It seems that wasn't enough. Defreinded.

Would you be interested in me setting up a chat on a smash site to make it easier for people to choose stages/talk during a match?
I think we are good on those fronts. Stage selection is done by the auto-process in the game (loser picks), and if folks really want to talk they can use the mic on the Gamepad, or post here. Thank you for the offer, though!

when is the first week starting?
This weekend (Saturday).

Great!

The worst, but I don't understand if your first and second paragraph are supposed to be related.

MySmashCorner made a video on Perfect Pivoting and its applications. This was found pretty early on the 3DS (I think day one actually), but I don't think it got much use because of the stick/controls. He explains it pretty well in the video and it's not that hard to do either. It's basically a very quick turnaround from a dash and a useful tool for spacing yourself. Your character is kept in a neutral state during the pivot as well, so you can attack right out of it.

Went in training mode with Captain Falcon and could not pull this off, I really struggle with precise inputs on the control stick. I can't even pull of tilts 50% of the time.

Hahaha, yeah they are related. I met the guy through miiverse because he liked One Piece. We played once before and it was all good.

Played today and I beat his DK real good once I adjusted to the lag. He picks fox next and I choose Pilot Wings. I think it's a decent neutral stage. He ends the match and proceeds to Final Destination. I'm mad at that point and pick DK to go against his Fox. He is mopping the floor with me, not so much because he or fox is inherently better he is just used to his own rotten lag. He almost beat me but I gave him the old slam dunk. He quits and I remove him from my friends list. Good riddance to bad rubbish.

Played a Palutena today who was pretty decent but I can tell he got that way due to his own environment. It was hard adjusting to his lag.

Play meee

I saw your room and joined, just as I did you closed it and went to For Glory. Sorry I'm always late. Gotta feed my kid now.

So a guy beats my Little Mac with Sheik. Okay. Next match. He counterpicks me with Toon Link, knowing Mac has a harder time with all the projectiles.. THEN, he picks Little Mac, with the same color option I use, just to kind of say "look, this is how your character is meant to be played".

Then he teabags me.

If that guy was a friend of mine sitting next to me on the couch, I'd probably punch him in the arm. Fuck that guy.

I dont have a problem with losing as most players online are better than me, but when someone wins AND is a dick about it 2 games in a row, I wouldn't really be sorry if a tree crashed on his house and destroys his TV and Wii U while at it.

Actually, stage selection isn't auto loser picks. I know there is an option for loser picks, but I am unsure if you can change it for online games

Hahah this has happened to me a few times on For Glory, however I mostly play randoms so when they try to beat me with my own character I'm already playing as someone else. I never pick the same character as someone's main, even if I really enjoy playing as that character.

What do yall do for your custom characters for Classic and Crazy Modes?

Right now my main is Mega Man and I can only beat 7.5 on Classic. I've tried over and over to beat 8.0 and come up short.

I'm suing two ATK badges and one DEF badge. I have Warp Bomb on my Side B special and just spam that sucker over and over.

... Do you guys usually use two ATK badges, or three, or DEF badges? What's your setup?

Hey, I think you missed my last post!

I think I've played you on For Glory. Is your mii a blonde guy with glasses?

I still don't get what teabagging is. I like doing crouching moonwalks with Yoshi sometimes, that is not teabagging right?

Otherwise I've been a dick online all this time haha.

this is the kind of Dittos I hate, I usually play a bunch of characters in a casul way, so I had some pretty good dittos with a few Gafers, but I know some people that likes to play dittos because of that, I mean, yeah it's fun to see who is the better player, but rub it on your face is annoying, I had some Link Dittos with a guy in for glory, which actually made me feel proud, dude learned to use his Zair, and bomb smashing by just playing eachother and our win ratio was pretty much 50% wins for each one, sadly I forgot to add him

Oh yeah there's nothing wrong with good-willed dittos, but when the dude even picks the same color setting as you it's just to annoy you, clearly. Especially after he's learned that "okay this guy just plays Little Mac".

Don't know what Warp Bomb is but if you're spamming one move over and over you're definitely doing something wrong.

Really depends on the character, but I usually go with ATK/SPD. For some characters I balance it out across all three stats so that's they're all in the positives, some characters I go all out attack (rarely) and some characters all out speed. DEF is what I always care the least for though, I prefer to just dodge the enemy. There are equipment that makes it so that your shield recharges more slowly, however you get a bit stat boost from these, making them very worthwhile against the AI imo.

I think I have to disagree a bit here. Yeah, it can be obnoxious- but I don't mind being schooled- *especially* if it's my main character. I bet there are some nifty things to learn that can only help me grow.

Salty dittos are the best. "Time to show this guy how to play Ness" is always funny to me.

Are you going to be on later shamrock? I've given up playing Ganondorf now so want to use Ness/Fox against you.

Anyone who thinks the winners of a ditto means you are better with that character is foolish. It just means you are better at that one particular matchup.

Joeinky I will be on this evening. Why give up on dorf? Yours was pretty good. You should at least still keep him as part of your rotation

Really? Whenever I have a huge winning streak, my stage never gets picked. What's the system, then?

Gotcha. I just leave if I feel like the lag affects my play too much during the first match. Why waste my limited free time trying to play a different game?

It's okay Romance. I'll fill that void. I'm also a One Piece fan, although I got burnt out on it after Punk Hazard. Still need to catch up with Doflamingo's arc.

Luffy is pretty funny.

Vanilla Dorf is just not working for me online, he's a character that's supposed to be based around a good punish game, but with input lag and against the fast popular characters online, I can't do anything with him.

If they ever give him a good approach option by reducing landing lag on his NAir or they make Flame Choke untechable then I might bother picking him up again, but currently I'm not interested in losing against people that I shouldn't be losing against in FG.

Ness and Fox are just better options if I actually want to win, I've already lost a tournament due to going Ganon for a set, don't want that to happen again.

Just tried out the stage builder for the first time and MAN is this thing lackluster. So many limitations, so few options. Real missed opportunity here.

Thanx for the answers regarding the trophies.

Online is super solid. No comparison to brawl (lol).

My man Ike is nuts. I can one-hit-kill 3-4 opponents at once.
loaded side-smash catapults everyone over 30. lightweights like jigglepuff and co even at 0
