People who actually play these games and main these characters (like you said with Rosalina) are having trouble or just plain not getting their favorite characters because of scalpers and people who only care about these now because they're popular. I've loved Animal Crossing since the GC game and plan to main Villager when I get the game but because I couldn't pre-order his amiibo, I'm now SOL until NA sees a new shipment because I'm sure as shit not paying $30+ for one.

Not to mention Rosalina being an exclusive and the clueless people out there who think she's Elsa and buying her up because of that alone.

Yes. Her, Villager, and Marth are the rarest right now, in order from least rare to most rare.

But I have a feeling shipments of all three will show up again, seeing as Nintendo World Store seemed to have received a restock this morning.

Well after Amazon delayed my Little Mac pre-order, I've finally got an estimate of next Monday for my delivery. I'm glad it at least looks like I'll be getting one and not getting completely shafted.

If he's cool he should be able to help out with a pre-order.
District Managers here in the US for gamestop have always been pretty good about fixing stuff. As sad as it is, i'm thinking of getting in touch with mine just to make sure my preorders in store are not sold after 48 hours. Since the gamestop is on a army base so they're supposed to take training and the like into consideration.

I saw a Peach with two Samus arms and a Ganondorf body holding the Monado.

Now to wait and see if PlayAsia responds to my inquiry about whether or not I'm getting Marth/Villager from them and hopefully they just let me cancel since they don't have any in stock.

Supposedly Marth/Villager will be here January 3rd. Anyone know how long international shipping actually takes?
 
The Fox amiibo is pretty neat. Don't really have much interests in any other amiibos that out and are not rare to find heh, but I probably going to preorder Ike from wave 3.

Yeah, that's what I said to myself. Now Importing amiibos from Germany and France. I have issues.
 
Rosalina is the last one that I really want that I can't preorder (aside from Kirby) and it's frustrating. Retailers really need to set limits on how much people can buy at once like the Nintendo Store did today.

It sucks, I also need a Rosalina and I was not able to preorder, but I can totally understand why retailers don't care about limits, the more a person buys the same product, the less shipments they have to make and the more money they make, its a win-win for them.

I expect all retailers to have a nice amount of figures in the store by release date, just to drive people to the store, but I'll make sure to be there 6am to beat scalpers who are sure to come.

Yeah, and by then their hours will be back to normal. There'sa Target just a few minutes from my office so I'll just go in right at 8:00 that morning if I can't get in a preorder beforehand.
 
Seems BB is now preparing my Little Mac and Zelda order for shipment if anyone is interested.....given some on the complaints on this thread with BB.

Luigi, Pit, and Falcon are still pending.
 
Did anyone's Little Mac from Best Buy begin to process yet? He's supposed to be out in 2 days and they haven't even began to prepare him while Zelda and Diddy were being prepared for a week before I got them today...

still so burnt up about rosalina. 5 fuckin' min at 5 am. look at ebay. auctions list them by the dozens. I camped that listing for DAYS. I have to sleep sometime!

you know people went on there and ordered them by the tens, maybe by the hundreds.

It's hard for me to say it's always wrong to ever collect or sell anything, but what went on with rosalina was flat out predatory. my baseless guess is that almost no one who got an order in at 5am actually wanted it for themselves.

That is correct. Target really should have at least limited to one per address or something but they probably didn't even really know what was going on or that people were particularly anticipating this. My response is I ordered it from amazon.de (because I'll pay a bit of a premium, but not to a scalper) and if I don't get it oh well.

The best we can do is hope for the pre-orders to open up, or walking in on release day. I'm not giving a scalper anything and that's for sure.

I actually ordered one and only one and I wanted it :-).

However I do plan on going in on release day and getting another :-)

I know it sucks. Try Amazon France. I preordered there and it should be about $25 after shipping.

I'm not paying a scalper for that either. I think it will turn out fine. It's not like I NEED Rosalina, but I'd like to have her since I do use her a good bit (not a main, but she's in my top ten).

I hope orders open up again tonight or sometime soon. Given the day that I'm having, I wish something would go right. I'm typing this as my wife is in the ER waiting to see if she broke her nose...

Days of refreshing Target and this thread. Oh well.
Caved and ordered Rosalina and Wii Fit Trainer from Amazon.de! Now I can sit back and relax I guess.
 
I pre-ordered Rosalina from Amazon France just in case I can't get her elsewhere. It comes out to about $24 USD. That's not quite as bad, plus she would get here right before my birthday.
