Hey I can't find an answer anywhere but I'm just wondering if this has Deja Vu and Jamais Vu missions? The MGS1 and Raiden bonuses that were previously console exclusives? It's a tiny stupid thing but it'd be nice to have an hour or two more play time.

I would like to know this as well. Do the Steam version come with these extras?

looks like MGSV will be region locked out for asia....fuck off konami!

Wait, wait, wait... does that include countries in the Middle East, which are technically in Asia?

This annoys me so much, and I don't even live in those territories. Worse still is the lack of any reasoning from Konami or their representatives of why this is the case and if anything will ever be done about it. Terrible

A Korean user on the steam forums said he was already region locked out of the store page.

I'm in Malaysia and still not locked out yet. Fingers crossed. Don't fail me Konami!!

maybe tomorrow it rains
I'll be waiting for a sale, but I'm super excited to play this. Someone posted this video in a thread about MGS2 and it motivated me to do a full playthrough of the series (minus the MSX games). Still have to beat Snake Eater and MGS4 before I'll be ready for Ground Zeroes.

can you see PES2015 on steam?

if no, MGSV will be dead for you too.

any one know a safe and free VPN to unlock steam games?

fuck konami!

I can't believe this. I've been waiting for this day for weeks. Hell, I built this gaming PC mainly for MGS (I've had the GTX 970 for weeks and I still haven't played any game, been wanting to start with this), it's almost the only game I still care about.

So I have to pirate the game if I want to play it? Is that what Konami is telling us?

You will be able to get someone from Europe/US to gift it to you if it's like PES 2015.

pirating the game is totally justified if they're not going to sell it to you.

i'm fortunate enough to live in a country that doesn't get any of this locking out of games on steam, and it must really suck to live somewhere that locks some games out but not others at publisher discretion.

sorry tora, robert, anybody else from konami or even valve reading, but you guys know what to do. let the people buy their damn video games

If this is the case, I will do it via the UK for you.

$20 for a late PC port of what's essentially a demo is mind boggling... I think if they want to expand the fanbase the price should reflect that

For you.
I thought cross-region gifting was blocked recently on Steam?

That's only for copies purchased on South America/Russia+ CIS Countries/Southeast Asia. Games bought on the EU or the US are region free. Unless Konami goes out of their way and put a activation lock on it preventing people on Asian countries to activate it.

Gifting is, keys are not.

Seems like you can buy PES from GMG, so maybe you'll be able to do the same here or have someone from the EU/US do it for you.

Gifts bought from EU/US aren't restricted.

Thanks.

"worldwide"... right

smh

We'll see how it roles out. Regarding the new trading rules - the limits are only from low price regions to high price ones according to someone who leaked the SteamWorks Group Update. Since I am in one of the highest priced regions, it should work although you'd pay slightly more I guess

From what someone told me was c/p to devs on dev forums:
As most of you know, our developer tools suggest pricing based on market research and purchasing power parity. In the case of territories such as Russia, Brazil, and SE Asia, we suggested pricing that is lower than the direct USD conversion. This is based on our assessment of actual pricing of comparable products in that market. Recently Rubles have hit an all-time low which has been a concern of many game developers. We are still assessing the market to see if suggesting new prices in Russia is right for customers who live in that market. We do not think that pricing based on currency conversion only is the right way to approach the Russian market necessarily.

What we are doing immediately in response to the Ruble drop is limiting trading and gifting from Russia to prevent people from taking advantage of the situation. We have been applying a gifting and trading lock of this type on all newly created packages on Steam since mid-2014. Today we have propped a change that will affect all packages on Steam which will not allow them to be unpacked to an account, if gifted or traded from a lower priced region to a higher priced region. This change is not retroactive and only affects new purchases. It also will not affect customers in that region from gifting a copy to other people in that same region. All customers will have proper warning when they are purchasing a gift prior to checkout in those regions as well. We will continue to assess the situation and make changes if necessary in the future. If you have any questions please feel free to write us via the contact form via the Steamworks Development site - Documentation & Help -> Contact Steam Publishing.

Lets just hope it's a blunder and it actually is worldwide

it's probably launching with a discount so at least those buying it in the sale aren't getting fucked so hard.

He makes a good point though, they're not doing themselves any favors with that starting price, we're still getting people complaining about the length/content of the game in these threads.

I can't wait to buy this, shit I'd buy it at 25 if I had to, but I do wish people who bought it on ps3/ps4 could get a discount code or something, that would be very cool.

Got this video comparing the PS4 with some PC options.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=flN7wVFTAUs

It goes to 4k.

From this japanese site
http://www.4gamer.net/games/999/G999902/20141216100/

quoting from the translated site
Those that were cut about 2 minutes from the game beginning of cut scene. PS4 edition and (upper left), PC standard image quality setting settings in resolution 1920 × 1080 dots (upper right) and PC the highest quality setting (lower left), the highest image quality settings set the 3840 × 2160 dots DSR (lower right) 4 Having arranged the pattern, and has a resolution of 3840 × 2160 dots movie. When it is a moving situation, or would blur the easy-to-understand best. Etc. also feel wet road surface, it might be a good focus. I want to try to check the differences that there are various with my own eyes

I was hoping DSR support for G-Sync + SLI systems would be out by the time GZ came out.. :(

Do we know if it is limited to 4k or does it have arbitrary resolution support?

Sounds like you'll be fine:

Performance: At reference speeds, our GeForce GTX 980 ran at a locked 60 frames per second all the way up to 2880x1620 in our demanding benchmark run, which goes from the night time entry point to the Armory, where a reflective puddle awaits. Past the gates, performance at 3325x1871 was a hair's breath from 60 FPS, and with a small overclock we soon achieved a locked 60 across our entire run. 60 FPS at 3840x2160, however, remained out of reach, even with an overclock, requiring us to turn SLI on for maximum quality, max performance Metal Gear fun.

Looks really good. Wish you had time to benchmark some more cards though. GTX 980 is the pinnacle of graphics performance atm. Still, good performance maxed out at 4K on a single stock clocked GPU.
