My brother stole my Wii U, the game, the adapter, & both GameCube controllers last weekend, so I had to use the Pro Controller he forgot to take at the one Wii U on campus. It's actually not that bad except for the C-Stick placement & the fact that it's wireless.

GGs man. That Sonic is beast. Only Ness and Pac stand a chance.

I am actually quite pleased with how Pac Man did. I feel like I am definitely getting better with him.

Yeah, it's difficult to confront characters with good keep-away options like Pac-Man, Ness and Mii Gunner with Sonic. I suppose the characters I lean towards right now are those who have to get close to do damage like Little Mac and Ganondorf, and they don't have great answers towards zoning, either. It's something I'll have to adjust to.

Burnt out? Oh no! Then we need to talk, I'll explain why your feelings are wrong. lol.

Still with a Diddy like yours I guess we'll be playing for a long while. You are in Southern California right? Where are you? I work in Down Town LA but live around El Segundo, LAX area. Maybe one of these days we can have a live match. I'm a grown man with a family so it won't be easy but possible.

We're about 50 miles from each other. I'm in Mission Viejo. :P
Maybe! Lagless matches would be great. I have a feeling you and I will run into each other at some tourney sooner or later. But I'd always be up for friendlies before then.

And yeah, Caesar was just such a boring antagonist to me, and I didn't like the jambled plot structure for that arc. The Straw Hats JUST got back together after a two year long break, but they immediately got split up again... I was like "nope" and backed out after that. Figure I'll go through it once the anime catches up and I'm able to skip through filler. Just cause Luffy moments are so hilarious.

Hnng, I'll say it again there is nothing more satisfying than landing a kill with Pikachu's meteor-smash Thunder. Especially when the other player jumps or falls into the thundercloud's spawning point themself rather than you throwing them into it.

Anyone want to play 2v2 or 4 player FFA, no items??

Send me a friend request:

brickwalker22

edit: no interest yet, will try again in 30 mins, feel free to still send friend requests

Finally registered my copies of Smash Wii U and 3DS with Club Nintendo to get the soundtrack and Mewtwo code. Took me long enough... glad I didn't forget altogether!

For anyone else in the US who hasn't registered their copies yet, you only have until January 13th if you want the soundtrack, so get on it! (You have until March 31st if all you want is the Mewtwo code... but why wouldn't you want both?)

So I'm quite terrible at this game, but the tremendous lag is not doing me any favors. Is this game running smoothly for most everyone else in online 1 v 1?

I have my Wii U hooked up with the LAN adapter, yet every 1 v 1 is still really laggy. I'm talking slideshow. Latency seems to be fine. Are there any tips for improving the online performance or am I getting hosed by laggy p2p connections maybe? I hope it's not me lol.

MySmashCorner made a video on Perfect Pivoting and its applications. This was found pretty early on the 3DS (I think day one actually), but I don't think it got much use because of the stick/controls. He explains it pretty well in the video and it's not that hard to do either. It's basically a very quick turnaround from a dash and a useful tool for spacing yourself. Your character is kept in a neutral state during the pivot as well, so you can attack right out of it.

Been practicing this; thanks for this guide. I can pull this about 50% maybe 60% of the time. Gonna try this some more, but my arm is kinda sore from practicing this haha.

alright added everybody from my ranbat bracket, hopefully I can buy a LAN adapter this weekend

anyway, anybody free for a casul 1 vs 1? NNID is my username

I thought it was fine, haha, but GGs.

Really? I thought it was godawful. Suicided 3 times due to input delay alone. Lag spikes kept ruining my bair chains and dthrow --> uair/fair follow up timing. Was frustrating as balls.

I usually try not to play online to make sure my timing IRL isn't messed up, but I've been trying to have fun with GAFers. Just can't have fun with lag. ;_;

Yeah, I noticed the slight delay but mostly got used to it. I'm guessing that you're on West Coast? Shame it couldn't have been better, though.
