Thats too bad. Would have still been perfect for getting in the car for the first time or just something you could do in the garage menu.

The game is thin on details on the cars (just a few stats represented in horizontal bars), so every bit of interaction is a positive in my book. That and we can customize our cars and drivers but is that stuff even visible at all besides on the track in a multiplayer match? They must have had much bigger ideas at some point.

Yeah when I saw that at the Ps4 reveal event it looked great I wish it was still in the game.

The 4:3 ascpect ratio was a nice touch, now make it a bit more "rough/raw" looking and you will fool people. Not that it didn't look good, amazing job infact.

Btw do the cars drip water if you park them? From mirrors, exhaust etc.
 
The weather is so good that it makes one thing really stand out to me. The cars in front of you don't kick water back on to you. You can see the spray coming from their tires but it never hits you. It annoys me in real life and it would be awesome if the cars did that in Driveclub.
 
Kind of related, but what's the generally accepted way to get the highest quality screenshots from PS4 right now?

I heard of some PS app trick to get uncompressed pictures... but after googling I could find nothing about it.

Export to USB flashdrive. There will still be compression but it's the best we can get.

You don't need to do the app trick anymore since they added USB support.

Just take your screenshots and then go into your capture gallery and copy them to USB.

They're still compressed but it's the best you can get without using an actual capture card.

The music was turned off by default as well. Not sure why, the banging tunes the game have really add to the intensity of the races.
 
So whats the deal, is the online foxed? I was going to wait for the ps plus version but I'm getting a little impatient and may just purchase it

I'd love to see even more objects dotted around the sky like aeroplanes (big boys and single prop)hot air balloons etc etc, lanterns in Norway heading off into the distance, Gliders...Assuming they can spare just that little bit extra processing.
 
Branching off from a video posted here, I found a Project CARS: better weather than Driveclub video posted 12/16/14. I needed a good laugh but I think the video was for real. I can't link on the Vita.

Granted, I don't know much about that game and have nothing against it but that claim and video "proof" was anything but accurate.

Edit: rain drops on the hood and cam were higher res/always in focus?

Didn't seem to bother them by keeping water constantly on the camera from any external view which obstructs your view. At least internally they have wipers that would wipe it away and wouldn't be that different from heavy rain.
