I'm just glad they got someone who actually speaks Mandarin to write those Chinese text(and its proper Traditional Chinese too!), totally didn't expect that. Usually those are grammatically incorrect or just silly set pieces in cartoons/movies.

Well KorraGAF, it's been quite a ride! I've mostly just lurked for the past season, but I figure I might as well post for the great finale. I'm sort of "meh" on the finale as it stands right now, just based on the episode descriptions, but I still have hope that it won't be too bad. The giant mech doesn't really click with me, so an episode based solely around taking it down won't really be my thing If it happens.

Anyways, 2 more hours!

You could have an entire evil group of waterbenders who instantly kill people by blasting all their blood from their bodies or freezing it in their veins in an instant.

Imagine the wars. People being set on fire, crushed into flat objects with earth, dissolved into sand and bone by waterbenders.

Maybe those wars did at one point happen, but it got so brutal that all sides decided to stop before they wiped themselves from existence.

But then you'd have to ask, "so there must've been a special group for each nation that exists just to safeguard all this evil shit from happening"

Of course, we're talking about zero limitations on censorship here, and worldbuilding from that presumption. And in that case it's not really Avatar, because that world was made with Nickelodeon in mind.

In this case it would be Shinsekai Yori and not Avatar. :)

I like Avatar and Korra but the world is completely unrealistic and almost nobody dies. It's still fun.

Shinsekai Yori is what the world with superpowers will most likely be.

So close to the end! Feels like New Years waiting for the clock to strike 12.

The time is upon us KorraGAF. It's been real. Remember, since this is airing on Nick.com at midnight, spoilers are unmarked.

Probably, almost likely, will be ACTIVELY avoiding this thread until I have watched both episodes. Until the premiere, will be most likely lurking and posting my occasional comments in this thread. Thanks again for the incredible ride KorraGAF! Its been real!

Less than two hours to go now. Still crazy to think that Book 3 only ended a couple of months ago and now we're already nearing the end for korra as a show in a couple of hours.
The anticipation is killing me ha.

Damn cute, that's so freaking nice! I'm not ready for the show to end.

Actually, that could be a really good place to place a game.

Korra's on her own, so there's no need to worry about awkwardly writing out or shoehorning in the supporting cast, and there's a whole three year period of time where we only have bits and pieces of what Korra was doing, especially after she leaves the Water Tribe to sneak off and go walkabout. Her recovery would be a great way to explain why she's building her bending up from "Level 1" again, and we could follow Korra wandering the globe just figuring herself out.

It's actually kind of the perfect place to set a "filler" story like a video game.

That would be pretty cool.

I hope we all love this.

All i'm hoping for at this point is some awesome fight scenes/choreography and that usual fantastic score from Jeremy and the Track Team. Going to be hard to top the fights from the Book 3 finale though as the Zaheer vs Korra fight is easily one of the best things the show has done since it started.
I'm sure it'll start to get pretty emotional towards the end as it starts wrapping everything up.

I hope we all love this.

it's going to have neat fighting scenes (i hope) and a cheesy "happy ever after" ending
with asami and korra mirroring the last scene of The Last Airbender

This is guys and gals, the end of the AVATAR TV SERIES!

I'm gonna go in with positive thoughts and hope Bryke blow us all away and truly make this a Feast for Crows.

WHO'S WITH ME?!

time to go play street fighter or CoD for an hour

also, anyone want to review the bets before the finale airs?

I mean, while I haven't been a big fan of this season, and I'm not like expecting the finale to be great plot wise. Season 3's finale had like a "quality" to it. It was just epic as fuck. The music. The action scenes. Just the overall atmosphere. So I expect on that level, the production for this will be awesome.

And since this IS THE END of the series, just like ATLA's final, I'm kind of thinking this might also be really epic? Again, maybe not plot wise. But hopefully in terms of spectacle and visuals.

I hope.

Spoiler: Kuvira has a change of heart and decides to hold free and democratic elections in the United States of Earth Kingdom. The end. The rest of the 54 minutes is Mako and Korra's wedding.

Here we go soon. Half h-- NOW -- while we're all still ignorant to the end, existing as fans in a void of happy mystery one last time, together.

I wish I could've been here much earlier. I wish I could've been on NeoGAF in the early days, to share with you ATLA, and I wish I could've been here during LoK, to participate in the disappointment and the pleasure.

But we're here now and that's what matters. Avatar help us all, from out of the abyss we must crawl!

SALUT!
