Yes they are together. because they are friend traveling together.

Yes They love each other. Korra loves all of her friends. Nothing to suggest otherwise.

thats how you end a show?

imply both resolve none

mako going he'll follow korra everywhere, with korra giving a smile, and a lets go on vacation to spirit world with asami while handholding, this literally was just writers listening to shipping fans with no real thought about what happened before

fights were cool, throwing a building was fun and literally the only good thing that came out of this show was the first avatar story

What? Do not go.

There are more people who disliked this episode in this thread than there are who enjoyed it.

This will be especially true when Veelk gets a chance to watch it.

If anything, we should be tamping down on our celebration.

Yeah, let's all party hard before Veelk rains on our parade

OK Last post in this thread I swear.

I'm just sayin', I know exactly how to properly develop Unalaq and Kuvira.

And I don't even like Unalaq.

Tbh I wouldnt have even bothered. I would have cut that entire storyline and had Korra journey to the spirit world far earlier to get her bending back (Which had not been given back to her at the end of season 1 because I have common fucking sense).

lol this is fun
I'm out too, really happy we got Korrasami, just a shame Nick probably switch to online exactly because of it.

Yeah like I said earlier I'm in the "finale wasn't good" camp, Azula. Just felt like another episode. Nothing really excited me.

Varric and Zhu Li getting hitched was the highlight.

srsly

Now if the creators come out and say "Yeah their totally together" then we can accept it as cannon. Or, you know if they had shown any type of romantic scenes between the two , like at all during the show. Otherwise it just a bunch of wishful thinking of the part of some fans.

Relationships aren't that complicated or subtle in Avatar. You know who are into each other and who aren't. If Korra and Asami had romantic feelings for each other then it would have been stated or shown.

Yeah. How much did Korra actually earn in this show?

The denial in this thread is actually stunning, they are about an official a couple as you are going to get at this stage.

Yeahhh

Probably.

Anyways I'm out. I think it's great that some people loved this ending. I don't want to ruin the mood. I think, I've said really all I have to say. I think it was a very flat/vanilla ending. It was entertaining, but I personally didn't think it was a very good ending.

But the fact that some do, well. I think that's enough that, I really would rather those people get to talk about what they loved and enjoy that without people repeating over and over that they didn't like it.

Goodbye everyone. This sure was one bumpy ass ride. But we made it to the end. Despite everything, it was all worth it just getting to spend time with everyone on here (even if we all don't agree).

What?

Veelk isn't even here yet lol

If they hired anyone from KorraGAF as writers, we'd be winning Oscars, and that's not even POSSIBLE.

hahaha.

i've given up on them having good writing long ago and was just here watching the trainwreck as it unfolded plus seeing the reactions.

writing letters to each other

end of season 3 asami "if I can do anything *glance down* for you"

"what's going on with you two"

Yeah think I'm gonna follow you.

I've made my opinions on the show known (I liked it, overall). Really, nothing more to say.

Its been a bumpy ride. But I enjoyed spending it with the frequent posters of this thread, even though I stopped posting that much after season 2. Guess the journey is over.

Cheers, guys.

Gonna miss this show so much. I wish we had a fifth season coming.

A lot of went wrong with Korra, you can see the beginning signs of it in the writing of AtLA. The characters were just so much better in that show so it was easy to overlook.

wait last one
i imagine we'll get a last avatar panel q&a or something, someone should ask them so they can finally confirm it

These writers have been working together since ATLA times, since at least 2005. Thats 9 years of non-stop creative and demanding work. I think its okay to give these writers a break for once. They did a good job with bringing closure to all the main cast even if it didn't make sense at some points when held under a microscope with scrutiny.

Nickelodeon.........they can only imply.

Dude just accept it for what it is: Bryke went there.

So what's the ETA on the community thread?
Azula said in about a week or so once discussion from the finale slows down.

I honestly would have scrapped Unalaq entirely.

I would've too, but once I put some honest to God thought into him and found some parallels for him in the real world, it would be as easy as pie to write him.

Same with Kuvira that doesn't have to go "full Hitler".

Shit, all the villains could've been done better.

Korra, too. =(

hahaha.

Same.

Actually, know that I think of it, I approached this finale like I did for the Hobbit. You know it's going to suck, but you can still enjoy it for what it is.

As in the Hobbit, the fight scenes were pure bliss imo, even if they were over-the-top.

Welp I'm out, but I know some day there will come a new traditionally animated American action show aimed at a slightly older audience. Until then, enjoy the lesbian Shipping and Veelk.

Shit, who needs a microscope? The finale of ATLA made sense in broad strokes.

Korra, too. =(

I'm still sticking with my Amon is not a bloodbender but the Dark Avatar retcon.

And okay then, I wanna know what kind of twist you would have added to this season, preferably involving Kuvira.

WHY WAS THERE NO TWIST.

the show just ended and the biggest discussions are shipping. It's AtLA's finale all over again, the fanbase bringing it back full circle.

The Legend of Korra was the show the fanbase deserved.

I'm still sticking with my Amon is not a bloodbender but the Dark Avatar retcon.

WHY WAS THERE NO TWIST.

The twist was that she really loved Batarr Jr.

had Korra journey to the spirit world far earlier to get her bending back (Which had not been given back to her at the end of season 1 because I have common fucking sense).

That was probably the plan, except for the whole "You only get one season" thing that the series started with before it's popularity earned it the rest of the books.

Relationships aren't that complicated or subtle in Avatar. You know who are into each other and who aren't. If Korra and Asami had romantic feelings for each other then it would have been stated or shown.

If you need the creators to explicitly come out and spell things out for you, you are extremely dense.

writing letters to each other

end of season 3 asami "if I can do anything *glance down* for you"

"what's going on with you two"

Asami Is Korra only female friend, at least her own age. Of course they're close. I can only go by what was shown on the show, and I saw and great friendship and not a great love affair. But hey, maybe it'll she shown in future comics or written about in Avatar books.

But going by only what was shown in the show, Korrasami only exist in the minds of shippers.

In terms of my response, I didn't really dislike it anymore than the other episodes of this season. That's not to say it was good, but it was within the range of quality I had come to expect from this season. And the action was undeniably impressive, though it was not very well anchored. There were like 3 different 'sieges' on the robot, which really lessens the emotional impact of each consecutive attempt. Which is why I presume they raised the stakes by axing or threatening to axe characters off.

But as a finale to the entire thing? Yeah, not great. The whole season was very underwhelming though.
