Does anyone know how Best Buy's website works? If the amiibo is sold out, it says so. Like Pit for example. However, Marth still says ADD TO CART, but only available for store pickup. There are zero stores in my area who have him in stock. Does that mean that there is at least one store in some random, unknown zip code to me that still has him available at the store?

They just like to give the option for some reason.
There might be a store somewhere in the state but I doubt it.

Just checked out the amiibo display in my local game (uk) and they're overflowing with Captain Falcons, they're like 3/4 of the amiibos on display. No Little Mac at all.

So is Captain Falcon going to be readily available then?

We don't know how many went up or if there will be more but the fact that they are so late to get preorders up is a problem. Though it would be nice if they pulled a TRU and just cancelled all orders and fixed it to 1 per order (I doubt their system could do something like 1 per address). I would revel in the mini-panic as scalpers have to cancel orders and get their seller rating torn apart.

TrU had Luigi and Zelda and the commons. One target had diddy in their system but didn't care to wait for them to root around in back. Off to more stores.

Yep, that is exactly why one doesn't sell preorders on eBay because they could be screwed by the retailer.

My first post on neogaf, seems like my account finally got activated!

After the great TRU Amiibo purge, I was able to snag a preorder of Rosalina, Lucario, and Captain Falcon.

Rosalina was supposed to have a limit of 3. I did 2 separate orders (because I assumed it was 1 at first).

Staying up super late (PST time) paid off for me. Might call up/visit local Targets/TRU to see if Wave 2B finally hits, though judging by /r/amiibo, most people haven't gotten it yet.

We haven't received any second shipments. Japan and EU were restocked. Japan sold out the second stock when I was following that when they came out. EU is getting them now. NA got jackshit.

No idea but I was surprised to see so many in stock after all the concerns people had about it. It was the only wave 2 amiibo they had lots of. I grabbed the last Luigi and there were a couple of Diddy Kongs there. No Zelda, Pit or Little Mac at all.

You know what? FUCK NINTENDO. They are the one that is screwing this whole thing up. If they were just truthful about their shipping schedule and numbers then this shortage wouldn't be an issue. They don't ship on time which makes things look rare, then scalpers buy up the remaining supply, then the real consumers can't find things anywhere.

I had all the Wave 2 and 3 Amiibo preordered at various retailers that had them available pretty much since the day they were first listed. Out of all of them the only one I got was the Little Mac I preordered from GameStop. The Amazon ones are delayed indefinitely and my Toys R Us order was cancelled.

I can confirm I only ordered one Lucario and TRU cancelled my pre-order. I just pre-ordered it again, so all is well, but I would have been pissed if I would not have been able to get it.

Same here, my cancellation came in a little later. Quite annoying.
