And...what does it mean? PS4 has 23 games with 85+ metacritic scores, while Wii U has 21, 3DS has 20, Vita has 21 and Xbone has 14. What does it mean when the user score is below 8.5, especially when anonymous people can just make dozens of accounts and troll a rival console? It's a worthless metric.
Kudos to Nintendo for making great games, but this is just PR spin/advertising.

Yeah, i see it now, thanks for mentioning it =) Kinda surprising, i would think that there were more games (that fits those criterias set by Nintendo in that add) that had gotten a higher score on PS4 and Xbox One.
That is true. I was first thinking that they didnt include Vita games, but i see that they are now.

Dude. The 19 games they list include two versions of Bayonetta, two version of Smash Bros, three Zeldas (I think at least two are ports/remasters), two parallel Pokeman games that I'm assuming are the same thing reskined, the eighth Mario Kart release, the umpteenth rehash of Super Mario World, and then some potentially great games.
If you trust Metacritic user reviews and apply a bunch of absurd logic, the list is totally legit!
well adding in the user score negates some games from the other consoles and is probably why Nintendo included that bit.
it also makes a good PR line. something like, "critics and gamers agree that __________ is fucking fantastic."

I'm just intrigued Nintendo is taking this kind of approach for some marketing. That's good. Their marketing is their biggest downfall, doesn't hurt to see them try something edgier. The entire internet is selling the Wii U as thé console with the quality exclusives, might as well hop on that train. It's good marketing, even if it's a bit 'shady.'
Gotta justify their purchase.
The term salt has been made useless. Not many people are denying the Wii-U has great games, what a lot of people are doing is calling out weak ass advertising.

Direct platforming, one-button-AI Murphy control is the lesser of two evils against direct Murphy control and AI platforming. And cartridge-like immediate load times are really nice.

The average person doesn't whip out their phone and look at Metacritic critic/user scores and say, "These scores are what matter, not the subject matter and art style."
Nintendo needs to either round out their image (which won't happen any time soon) or change the average consumer's perception of what is appealing (which is virtually impossible).
So instead, they tweet this image, but it's just preaching to the choir.

It's still available for at Amazon? And there's a good amount of Gamestops around here with used copies. But no Best Buys. And all I get is PS/Xbox cards when I search at Target...
Oh, and the eShop.
I sure hope they would have more great games on there. Considering that the Wii U has been out for a full two years, compared to the PS4/XONE only recently hitting the 1 year mark. Would not be good for nintendo otherwise. I highly doubt they will be able to say the same the end of next year though.

Don't get me wrong, I think they ruined it by including what the did, had been just the new games it wouldn't have looked desperate.
Bayonetta 2, Pikmin 3, Bravely Default, MK8,SSBWIIU SM3DW etc would have looked better.

Antagonizing? Lol, what's gonna happen? Is Sony gonna cancel the mario movie? Is MS gonna pull windows support for the new 3ds synch program for windows? Lol, it's pretty standard for a company to advertise their products relative to their competition.
Not under the criteria they set themselves. You can argue that the criteria is bad and too specific but you can't call them liars.
