Don't really like OP designs.

That's probably a big part of it, yeah XD

Wait, the rest of you guys went Mimi>Sora

Some bullshit right here

Shit, now that I think about it, I was younger than TK and Kari when Adventure 01 first aired. Thank god for my friend introducing me to this show

I'm digging the designs. Kari and Sora are cute, good stuff.

Also I'm glad they didn't go with this design for Mimi

I'm watching the video about Zero Two some one posted, and it got me thinking. What if tri.'s plot is based on the Dark Ocean and Demon? Both say that there is going to be a return, and never do.
So what if Demon join forces with Dagomon when the kids sent him to Dark Ocean, and they start to invade the Digital World? Maybe the only way to resolve the problems is to destroy the Dark Ocean, and then they could look at the implications of destroying a world, and how it would impact the other words.

I actually really liked Davis in the Digimon movie but in the show he's annoying.

Also I need more info now so hopefully they plan to release some soon.

December 20th is the date for the Jump Festa. The new Digimon game is going to be there; rumor has it that some info about the anime will be revealed too. Just a rumor though; it could just be about the game and not the anime. Though it would be an opportunity to drum up interest again. We just have to wait and see what Toei's plans are.

If you don't have the time, These excellent videos do a pretty good job of actually illustrating just about all the problems of Season 2.

I kinda wished I haven't seen this videos, because it made me disappointed with 02 even more than I originally was.

Also, am I the only one who didn't make the connection between BlackWarGreymon and Beelzebumon? The latter was handled much better of-course.

Damn man. Tamers was actually phenomenal compared to 02. It is the Devil May Cry 3 of Digimon series.

Thinking about 02's plot is like thinking about Quantum Physics. The more you think about it, the less sense it makes.

And yeah Tamers is pretty amazing. I encourage any one who likes the season to read this website WARNING: Old website design. Konaka put a lot of thought into the writing.

BTW Konaka is the one who came up with Dagomon and Demon in 02.

I love these videos because they actually illustrated all the things that bothered me but I didn't have something specific to identify. You have to admit, his redo of the conversation between Sora and Miyako in the second vid is top tier.

Tai x Mimi is the superior pairing anyway.

He is brilliant. Something about his creepy approach to Digimon really jives well with me.

Remember Alice?

Its gets too much hate. I think it has a fantastic lore, fantastic evolutions for the leads, was the most similar to Adventure 1, and had a top tier OST. In my head, its the prequel leading up to the events of the first season.

The problem is that everything relating to Izumi, Tomoki, and Junpei brought the show down. Takuya, Koji and Koichi were awesome.

Frontier was the first Digimon I experienced the original version of, and it just seemed so much cooler with the neat opening theme, the insert song, etc. So it sort of holds a special place in my heart, and I liked the return to a more adventurous Digital World after Tamer's wasteland. The characters were solid, too, even if they sort of borrowed a lot of characteristics of the past humans.

I also thought the "becoming Digimon" was pretty neat, and once you got past no partners, it was an interesting premise. Unfortunately, it pretty much broke down once the Royal Knights showed up, and everyone but Takuya and Koji were shafted. I mean, giving them exclusive forms, I get that, but literally making it so the other characters couldn't Digivolve was ridiculous. It was also disappointing that the other Spirits like Grottomon and co. never were brought up again after being defeated, even though they introduced other human characters and sort of teased it. And Koichi was a pretty wasted character too I recall.

I recall the dub being quite nice, the new OP and Digivolution themes were a little more mature and less goofy, and I loved the episode that shows Koichi's past, and they used a really neat insert song.

I sort of hope if Adventure 3 does good, they take a shot at another original Digimon Series that's somewhat in the vein of Frontier, sort of a classic take on the franchise with some interesting elements to it.

Bane? Get them on board, I'll call it in.
Question about the subs on Netflix.
Are they the same shitty subs that were on Hulu for a while, or are they all new and more accurate?

Last time I looked, the former. Really stiff and awkward.

I never gave Frontier a chance when I was younger because I was so against the idea of removing Digimon partners. I watched most of the series (skipping around a few parts I had seen before) about a year ago and found it decent. Biggest problem I had with it is the pace, especially when the Royal Knights show up. There's about 8-10 episodes that are nearly identical to each other late in the season.

Seriously I don't know how it is in the never seasons but Digimon always had a big problem of making 1-2 characters overpowered and having the rest of the cas be useless.

Tamers managed to keep things relatively balanced because it only had 3 core people but the 1st two seasons and frontier suffered badly from this.

Is it that damn hard to give everyone a mega form or whatever so they aren't useless cheerleaders.

Digimon is a Bandai Franchise, after all, so it's basically the same deal as the Red Ranger in Super Sentai/Power Rangers getting all the cool shit.

I know this show is probably aimed at the "older crowd", but I really hope they don't totally skimp on the funner parts of Digimon like new forms and stuff like that. I grew up with the original, and I still enjoy the more juvenile aspects of the show like power-ups.

Oh, looks like Digimon Fusion (dub) was added to Netflix recently. Guess I'll finally watch it since it flopped on Nickelodeon. Still haven't seen Savers/Data Squad though.

Edit: Or it came back in September and is just now showing in "Recently Added?"

Savers was the only season I watched subbed. After watching it subbed and then spending 5 minutes watch the dub, I couldn't stand the dubbed version. Overall I'd probably put it as my second favorite season behind Tamers. The middle of it is meh but the last arc is fantastic. Only wish it was longer.

Hope it's good... Though would have rather had Digimon Tamers 2. You know, season 3, the best season. :3

Seriously though, Tamers > Adventure 01.

I find them all over the place. Some are better than others, some eps use dubtitles, others don't. I think it was Tamers that had a more fluid sub script than 02, though.

My thoughts as well.

Bumping this because Joshua Seth voiced an episode of Did you know anime for their digimon themed episode

Digimon - Did You Know Anime? Feat. Joshua Seth (…: http://youtu.be/8C6VYxIhqcQ

:O I didn't know there was a channel like this, I absolutely love Did you know gaming.

edit: Lol it is funny they mentioned the episode where they give that one Digimon wine so they can sneak Tai and the other into Vamdemon's castle. I just watched that episode today because I'm rewatching the series through sub this time.
