The art style looks good, but I hope their outfits are placeholder. You can barely tell the characters apart. I knew it was going to take cues from modern anime, but this is ridiculous.

One thing that kind of sticks out is that Joe is the only one bothering the see where they're going to land... very nice touch, IMO.

To be honest, me too. But, people call me crazy for preferring anime art from the 90s over the current anime artstyle.
Toei has been really slow with news. Literally, all we know is whats in the OP, the airing date, and that the original digimons are back as well.
Ask and you shall receive. A color pic at last. I don't mind the art direction; its the going to be the animation where this thing lives or dies.
And there is one other thing: the Director, Keitarou Motonaga. On onw hand, he directed Majestic Prince, which I really enjoyed. But he is also known for directing a lot of harem anime. Be interesting to see the direction of this season.

They didn't just pick a director out of a hat. Based of this guy's history, there will be a fair amount of romantic content in this I would guess.

Only the new main kids had different outfits in 02 though, the 01 cast had no outfit changes when going there.
