Shhhhhh. Don't listen to this person. S1 is the true JoJo.

WRYYYYY!!!!! Araki draws his characters swole as fuck for the first couple of parts. Jonathan looks like he was cobbled out of granite.

Well at least we get a better send off than the Middle Earth universe I guess.
It's been a disappointing week.
According to the wiki Lin is 54 and Suyin is 48.Question...how much older is Lin than Su? Unless Lin had babysitters 24/7, there must have been a time where she saw Mama Toph with Su's dad.
Part 3 is pretty crazy with it's powers and based on what I think you told me Part 4 is nuts and it get weirder afterwards. I read one guyI know Season 1 of JoJo is good, but it's very tamed compared to the later seasons. (I know I'm calling a season where a guy pulls knives out of his body tame, but still.)
I do wish Korra's villain's were a little more charismatic. Outside of Amon, they were all kind of meh.
Zaheer really should've bought a portable step ladder from Cabbage Corp. For those still in doubt over whether Korrasami is a thing or not, observe this image. Within the context of this show, the way in which characters have held hands the way Korra and Asami did was reserved for those in romantic relationships. I think it's pretty obvious now that this was intended.

I always get tripped up over how short Zaheer is.

Is he actually short? I was under the impression that P'li was just really tall.

So Part 3 really isn't the longest is it? Cause this one is LONG I like it, but damn. I love how they draw Jotaro's hat/hair. They didn't even bother to define a border for it, cracks me up a little every time. That's part 7
I do wish more series would use a rotating cast like JoJo and Pokémon Adventures.
Then again, one Part of JoJo outside of Part 1/2 = a whole Series of Avatar and Korra.
You can always have this at least:

There's no way they would've gone that fair on stream/tv, just no way man.
Can someone make this picture into a background-less avatar for me? I can't seem to get it right.

I'm really glad they're not trying to rush through the material either. It's slower than Part 2, but it's a lot of fun.Part 4 and 7 are longer.
Part 3 is going to be around 52 or 54 EP. About the same length of Korra. Each part will probably at least match that or be longer.

Why have that when you can have this?
Every character gets their time to shine with certain stands so I really don't mind. Some stands don't need two eps, but Steely Dan needed that second ep. Once you see all the shit he pulled you really can see he deserved that epic ass beating he got. Even near death Polnareff and Kakyoin are bros not too serious to avoid a fun ass sign language joke while their submarine is sinking.True, but I will be the first to say that entire episodes can be cut or stand users could be combined in a single episode. But on the flip side we wouldn't get half the character moments and characterization from the cast. (Something missing from a lot of other series) That we do.
Some people might be opposed to the Stand of the Week, but it really lets all the characters shine in their own way every once in awhile.
I've said it multiple times, but 95% of book one was excellent. Only the first 20% or so of Book 4 was really good IMO

I really wish Korra had more moments like that.
I really get the sense that the Stardust Crusaders are friends, even if they only spent a few weeks with one another.
Despite Korra group having nearly 7 months, they just felt like a few people that happen to know one another.
Jojo's Bizarre Adventure is one long as fuck manga. Each part has what seems like it can fill 50 eps with parts one and 2 being the shortest. Part 1 and 2 takes up a combined 26 eps, but even with the two shorter parts you can see that the people together are actually pretty believable friends. With the mentioned Part 3 it's pretty long, but it's easy to see that they do care for each other though sometimes you're like what the fuck is going on when one dude is in trouble and the other group is just chilling out in a hotel room trying to figure out why he's late for a meeting. I'd highly recommend the show because it's fun and weird with some entertaining villains. Is that show 13 episodes? ATLA allowed characters to shine, because of that 22 episode journey format
And yeah, the most baffling thing about this show was Korra's team. I really never understood why they were close friends. Why they were even considered a team. They spent a lot of time apart in Books 2-3 and even 4 for that matter. So those saying Korrasami was well done and fleshed out, meh. Even Korra + Asami's friendship never made sense. And it surely wasn't trasnionted into well. It was clunky as hell.
lol did anyone step back and realize that, Asami is actually going to have a life of suffering?
Finally caught up to the thread, didn't know Korrasami would cause such a big fuss. Can't wait to join you all in the community thread.

I mean, if you want to argue the relationship was well done from the point that they wanted us to believe they were best friends. I won't argue that. But I look at the relationship in the larger context of the series and it really was sloppy.
Some people may call it "forced fanservice" but, for me, Asami and Korra´s relationship was amazingly and beautifully set. There was no need to be up front and hyper explicit about their growing romantic love for each other. Thats not how happens in real life either.
The clues were there, the setting up was pretty evident. I think people who say their interactions (Korra´s and Asami´s) were just like "anything you would see from any girl friends" are missing the point and letting themselves being tainted by historic views that have always put lesbians (in this case, bisexual women) in obscurity. I can say that I was too, blinded by this.
Even when women are sexually objectified they are also desexualized, in the sense that any affective and physical interaction between two of them is immediately caged as "friendship", when it could totally and objectively being seen as romantic / sexual love.
Probably this wasnt Bryke´s intent, but whatever. The result is there and it was, even if not intentional, just beautiful.

I think it's more of the fact that it was the only thing that can sum up the finale and season

I just didn't like how it was the note the show ended on. I'm glad it happened, but their romance wasn't like Aang and Katara's that was a major thing throughout the show, it wasn't worth being the parting sentiment. It was thematically clumsy. Finally caught up to the thread, didn't know Korrasami would cause such a big fuss. Can't wait to join you all in the community thread.
It's deadHas there been any hint at all about some sort of continuation of this universe? A new show? New comics? Anything, any hint at all?
I'm not ready to let go.![]()
Well I mean, the finale had no plot. And it had nothing to say about the overall themes of the show. It didn't have any character resolution or conclusions really, so really..what else is there to talk about?
I mean the show pretty much ended with them being together (even if that relationship wasn't a big part of the series). Was a truly baffling ending by all accounts.

Still got ATLA comics coming out. But for Korra that's pretty much it and we're probably not going to get a new series for quite a while.
I'd have no issue with revisiting Korra. It can be done well but at this point I just don't trust Bryke at all.I want more Korra stuff. =(
Yeah I said it.
The shorter Part 1 and 2 did the friendship and villains better than Korra. You actually believe Joseph and Caesar became friends in Part 2.Part 3 of JoJo is the same length as Korra. And we are only halfway through, yet the group has showed more chemistry than Korra's group in the full 50+
That being said, even if Korra is cut up in 13 EP. There are still the same characters, there is no excuse for the lack of group dynamic even if what they face changes from season to season.
Another series that did this was the first 13 EP of dragon ball. Which was the first Story arc. Yet it introduced the world, character motivations and had all the characters have a moment in the spotlight.
why was the season even called Balance to begin with
We still have to hold out hope for those soundtracks, Hamlet.
I still find it kind of weird and slightly out of character that Korra and Asami would just elope and bounce out of there without even inviting Mako or Bolin. Aren't they supposed to be friends? Even if they're going on a romantic getaway it sort of seemed like they ditched everyone haha.
