So I ended up driving the 30+ miles to a Walmart north of me in order to pick up a Wii Fit Trainer I had put aside for in-store pickup almost 2 weeks ago. Things got a bit nerve-racking when the associates disappeared in the back for 10 minutes looking for the thing only to come back empty handed. Thoughts started running through my mind that I shouldn't have waited so long and perhaps she was yoinked by a shady employee.

Finally, the guy comes back with something in his hand and it's a Fit Bit! I think this confusion stemmed from the woman who scanned my order at the beginning:

Male employee: "What is the item?"
Female employee: "Uhh, Wii Fit!"

After showing him the Fox Amiibo I had in my cart, he went to the back again and came back with WFT in hand.

Anyway, so now I have an extra. May keep one in box and use the other. Or I may trade the extra if anyone has an extra Rosalina pre-order. PM me if interested.
 
Went by my BestBuy and Target on a hunt for a WiiU (another gift, family had a blast when I came over and wanted one for themselves, lol). The amiibo were picked clean sans a ton of Links and Marios.

I saw one Zelda, Yoshi, and DK.

...Also no WiiUs. They did try to sell me an Xbox though.

I would totally help out, but shipping out of my country would be too expensive/cumbersome to be worthwhile I reckon.

Lol, yeah. Yoshi was pretty much an impulse buy. Once I had him out of his packaging, a passing urge struck me: "hmm, he could use a few friends" :p.
 
looks like BB shipped my MAC and Zelda for wave 2. Should I have faith that they come through on capt Falcon and Pit?

My Target stores have been cleaned of all Capt Falcons and there has been no sign of Pit. What retailers are carrying these two figures now?

I sure hope so. I found Falcon, but Pit still eludes me. I have them all minus Pit, but I kept my best buy orders for pit / falcon and little Mac just in case.. Little Mac just shipped but I've had him for a while.

I'm keeping the faith. I don't think anyone has had a ship to home cancelled by them in this thread right? I know some have missed out on store pickup because their store didn't get any of a particular one.

I still have Luigi, Falcon, and Pit to come from them with Diddy on the way. I ordered a few others from Wave 1 and everything shipped and arrived when they said it would.
 
I got the email from TRU that said I'd be able to reorder Pit by week's end. I paid with PayPal. I only wonder if they'll honor the 2 for $22 price...

I'm not sure if we should have other thread because this thread is basically trading and help amiibo thread because that's what most of posts were. I'm pretty sure that's a point of this thread so someone correct me if I'm wrong.

IF you want to stay in this thread, then just send a PM to OP and ask him to include your post in OP.

Edited: I don't want to have two different threads on Amiibo that are doing exact same things because it could be annoying to go back and forward with two different threads that might have a same purpose. I preferred everything in a thread so it would be easier for all of us to get some helps right away and see where the amiibo would be available at.
 
Got Pit at GS in US today! (Had it preordered.)

So now got Pit and Samus. Plan on hopefully getting Luigi and Yoshi in January. Hope I can atleast get Toon Link and Rosalina in Wave 3. And wil try for Mega Man and Shulk. I guess I'll just try my luck for Rosalina by dropping into the a store on its release date. Can't order it online since it doesn't charge until it ships.

Really happy with how Pit turned out. Looks cool, and I like his stand since it blends in with his feet well. Hand is a little messed up but oh well. His Smash pose looks like its facing a different direction than his amiibo lol.

Happy I got one before it was too late.

I that makes you feel better, I've seen half a dozen Pits now, and I've yet to see ONE whose hand is painted correctly, if by "a little messed up" you mean some black paint missing from under the hand.

It seems that it's an issue difficult to avoid (I'm not even sure that there's a perfect paint job there, seeing how all have the same problem)

Testing out a new camera lens and thought this turned out nicely. Really does show the level of detail for these. May do others for other figures with a more professional setting/lighting.

Thing is, a lot of posts in this thread are about people saying they plan on getting extras, or they got them, but are not actually offering them, this is confusing for people who genuinely want to trade or are looking for one. Also, I think this thread is better when its talking about just general discussion, no trading. Only people who want to trade or offer extras should use the trading/help thread. I think I´ll make it on the Gaming Community side and just post the link to it here.

Can you point out what is exactly "Help" meant? Since I presumed that "Help" would refer to location/stores where they found the amiibo at?

Edited: I don't mind if you are going to make trading thread by itself but I just need a clarification what you meant by Help because I think I might misunderstood that part.

Help is that if you have a relatively rare figure, you can sell it to another gaffer for retail price+Shipping cost, to avoid scalpers asking for much more.

I was not talking about locations, preorders or stuff like that, that is great here.

Best buy is retarded. Put item on shelf for people to buy but yet when u go to checkout they can't sell because of a street date. Luckily some of you are able to get them still. Best buy in and of itself is a cluster.
 
Just adding my post from earlier. I've ended up with a spare villager, dont want to profit from this, willing to trade for a DK, Luigi or Wii Fit Trainer. messsage me (UK only)
 
the good thing about amazon is they give you your money back if the box comes all fucked up, especially if you state you're a collector and there was zero care in packaging your item.

The employee looked like he was a higher-up person too, so he was noticeably pissed when he found out someone put them out when they weren't supposed to and started telling people to fix it immediately. Dude was super cool about it though, and since I at least got them, I can't be mad for them selling it to me, heh.

Question about toys r us. Like a fool, I ordered my Amiibo as a guest, having creating an account completely slipping my mind in the rush for Lucario. Know if its possible to sign up for an account now using the same email so I can keep track of the orders? Pit, Falcon and Lucario are what I have.
 
I preordered a bunch of Wave 3 amiibo after this whole wave 2 debacle. Best Buy wouldn't allow me to pre order several of the wave 3 amiibo for some reason so the next day I went to Toy R Us and Pre ordered the other amiibo I could not pre order.
I hope that's that, I'll try to find Pit somewhere (hope I'm lucky enough to do that) and I'll import Rosalina from japan or something
A question to everyone: Any way to know exactly when an amiibo becomes available online somewhere? I've been refreshing AmiAmi, Nipon yassan, and amazon for awhile now.

You can go there and type in your order number/ZIP to bring your order up. When it ships, they'll send you an email with a tracking # and then you can use UPS to get updates on your package. It's what I've been doing.

So now I'm not sure what to do about this reinstatement. I preordered all of wave 3 at Gamestop after the cancellation and I went out and bought a Pit that I happened to find. I can't cancel Pit out, and the pricing on the rest are pretty damn good. Guess I'll contact TRU again if I haven't heard from them in a couple days.
