Sold my old car and got a gun as part of the deal. What now?

Florida doesn't need an FFL for private sales afaik. Go find a shooting range and learn about gun safety.

Treat firearms like they're always loaded, finger always off the trigger and never point the muzzle at someone even if it's unloaded.

Go to a gun range. There are oodles of videos explaining how to shoot a handgun properly. Don't hold the gun like you see in most movies.

The guy who sold you the gun, is gonna call the cops with a tip.

Ima beat him to the lunch for you, OP.

To everyone saying the gun was stolen or that the guy shot someone with it: the guy is a gun instructor and the weapon is brand new and unfired. As part of the deal I met with him at his office afterwards because he issued me a license to carry the gun in public. Should have taken a course but I got it just like that haha. I would never carry it in public though.
Here is the paperwork and the gun, apparently the gun has a $500 value

Florida of course, you'll be fine. Go to your local gu store and take a class. It's only a few hours and is about $40-50.

It's Florida. Fire arms in that part of the country are legal tender for goods and services. I've heard of people doing things like prepare taxes for payment with a firearm.

Well shit the way you worded it in the OP made it seem like you met the guy in an alley or something.

Take a safety course though for really reals, guns are fucking useless for anything other than killing other things and you don't want to do that accidentally.

Yeah, take it into the police station to get checked over. I wouldn't bother with a box or anything just go in waving it about asking if someone can have a look.

Hang on, all he did was press print on his computer? How can it not be a legal requirement to have at least taken a safety and shooting course? I'm lost for words to be honest. This is some fucked up shit.

certified NRA instructor.

fitting.

In GA to get a concealed carry permit, you just go to the courthouse and fill out a form. I'm sure there's a background check, but no training required.

And though you are licensed to carry the gun in public, you might want to keep that shit on the down low on the way to the station, OP.

Edit:

And though you are licensed to openly carry it, that might not be the best when you're going to the station, OP.

Yeah I think he mentioned it has to be hidden in a holster. I dont plan on doing it anyway. I need to go to his office again next week because hes giving me the official certificate or something and ill ask him but I think he mentioned it has to be hidden
