I am glad I have no problems apart from when idiots DDos. Xbox owners are lucky that MS caters for more then just the Xbox so have a shit load of servers. Sony only have the PS so won't spend out on servers they don't need past Xmas and other big holidays. The other issues ( msgs for some people) need to be sorted as well so every one has the same expierence.
 
Assholes... My nephews got three or four games for Christmas and can't play any of 'em because they can't sign into XBL.

Aside from many games actually being online multiplayer games? As for it not being serious you're just wrong. Quick list of impacts:

1) Lots of Christmases ruined. Thousands and thousands of unhappy people.
2) Inevitably shops will end up having to deal with confused customers trying to actually return the machines as broken.
3) Support staff at attacked companies having to firefight this shit.
4) Lost digital sales affecting multiple companies.
5) General network congestion for anything between source and destination, this can have a wider fallout area.

A lot of you guys need to stop this simplistic "so you can't play games, ohnoes" response. It's short sighted and trivialises a serious wide reaching crime just because the subject matter happens to be gaming.

At least one of the idiots lives in the UK, if caught he could face up to 10 years in prison.

Try disconnecting the network from the Xbox, then restart the Xbox. Hopefully that will solve it as long as no updates need downloading.

XBL been solid for me all day in the UK!!. These outages people are reporting are just normal XMAS day outages and nothing to do with these Lizard pricks!
 
I finally connected to alive and I heard that BTB in MCC was working so that was the first place I headed. Says some bullshit about privileges and won't let me play. During the downtime I tried to play Spartan Assault and Guacamelee but it gave me some nonsense about selecting an option to play offline next time I was signed into Live. Not finding any options for that though...
