Funny as that video is, I'm getting sick of this guy making videos about Lizard Squad every other day to stir the drama pot. It perpetuates more problems for us because he wants some Youtube views.

Thats his twitter, he is the "leader". He lives in the UK apparently, but even if you traced him from twitter he is probably using multiple proxies so you still wont get to his real IP. Its basically just layers and layers that make him untraceable, and make the attacks untraceable.

Certainly wouldn't be suprised if Lizard Squad is Finest squad with all their bs, funny they picked xmas day to claim servers would go down to claim credit, considering they would go down anyway...Finest squad being the legal form, looking a job??
 
I just built a PC for the first time this month (was a MBP user for a long time and still am) and I'm really glad I did, since I can't get online on my console...

No, I agree, if you recall Lizard Squad called in a bomb threat on a plane back in august. Apparently the guy who made that threat got his doors knocked down.....

If that's his picture, why can't they get him? I don't understand. They have his picture, they have his name or what he goes by (Jord, Jordie, whatever), they have a general location (UK). What is taking so long?

Wife loaded up her DAI game and couldn't connect to XBL or EA.

I have been actually playing my PS3 all day with a ton of single player games and Black Mesa Source on the PC... It just sucks not being able to use any of the apps on the PS3 or PS4.

If you are going to do this online-only future, these companies have to have contingency plans that lets people at least play the single player or local multiplayer while they are having trouble on their end.
 
Twitter are fucking awful when it comes to banning accounts. Sure it wouldn't stop the DDOS but taking their voice away would be a pretty good start. Gutted for any kids out there unwrapping their first console only to have it not work.
 
I couldn't get into FEZ on the PS4 while "connected" to PSN. The game kept hanging on the loading / auto save screen on boot. I went into the settings, signed out of PSN and it fixed it. I'd suggest just staying signed out and play single player stuff until this blows over. It's a real shame the hackers "won." Most are likely minors with bad home lives, with nothing better to do on Christmas Day. :/
 
When did this start? I woke up at 8am this morning. I've played a couple of hours of Costume Quest 2 and even earned some achievements. I also bought The Interview on XB1 and I watched that from start to finish.

Now XBL is down and I cant use any of my online apps. I was forced to use the Wii U to load up a Netflix video.

I'm afraid of even playing Costume Quest 2 now. Do achievements still unlock/progress when playing offline? If not then I wont bother. I'll probably fuck around on Smash Wii U but I really wanted to play Costume Quest 2 and Evil Within.

Thats not his picture tho, he is a white guy (or at least he sounds like one from his voice), the picture on his twitter is a black guy.....

They are running premade programs all they do is download them and plug in some info there is no "skills" being used here.
