Not exactly, once Sony and Microsoft enact whatever mitigation solution they have at their disposal they'll probably restore service to territories one by one so I can't imagine the flood of new Christmas users will be an issue in the short term.

That's just my guess though, I don't know what their recovery plans look like.

Its serious because of its scale, and but these are still corporations. And how much should I really be upset, is it worth it. My point of not being upset is that I expect alot of these systems to fail. They are predicated on old standards, and I don't expect my services to be 100% reliable and have guaranteed uptime. Lizard squad seem like rebels with no cause, but they exploiting the infrastructure being juvenile. And as for consumer rights, IMO this is cause for demanding that online services are secondary to maintaining good offline user experience.

NO not jail time, alot of community service, fines, record I guess, understanding their actions channel them into skilled workforce.

Doxxing is far worse than ddos as I'm concerned.

I believe PS3 at least, and possible Vita, run on different servers/network than PS4.

That's why your PS4 network, DL speeds etc are much faster. It was built from the ground up for the new console, they talked about building a brand new network at the reveal IIRC.

There's been several times where PS4 has had network issues and my PS3 is just fine.

Someone correct me if I am wrong though.

We just helped 2 indie developers publish their games on PSN and this is basically wasting their very limited exposure on the store.

Not going to condone violence again them but if anyone is of legal age I hope they go to prison for a long time. Bastards.

What I find quite ironic is that MS having been running ads in the UK using Live and Titanfall as an example of how great their Azure infrastructure is, might have to write that money off as this failure is now mainstream news!

If Live isn't as well protected as their corporate services then why use it for corporate advertising?!

MAN they are just bunch of shit heads, but you punishment is fucked as hell. Sure them banned from the internet for like 2 years, while doing community service would be good, i could support that. but you suggestion goes off the deep end, no credit, no sin? Humans deserve chances, especially if they are ignorant to some things and they will usually grow up...

Just just came back up after 5 minutes. Maybe Microsoft were rebooting something. I'd had all damn day on it. Over 15 hours since I woke up this morning. Was watching netflix when it went out too. grrr

They are running an ad campaign instructing businesses that they should move to the cloud, the azure cloud, using titanfall and live as an example of how great the cloud is.

Yet its been taking down by some kids which is now all over the mainstream press, wasted advertising money you'd think.
