Sucks my daughter got a PSN gift card for Xmas so she could download Minecraft on the PS3//Vita. Have a 6 hr drive tomorrow morning and that is what she wanted to do. I guess she will have to read through the hardback Minecraft books and play her 2DS or other Vita games.

Were you able to log into PSN at all? Yesterday I was able to briefly connect to PSN but not Destiny until I tried like 10 times.

This is VERY interesting and raises a few questions so I do appreciate you bringing this to my attention because I'd not seen or heard anything about this so thanks for that. First reaction I guess based off the shit we're seeing now is that it would be a mistake for Sony to rely on the cloud and Gaikai tech to the point the would gamble and build an entire console around it. MS took a gamble with Kinect and built their system around it and they've paid the price for it. Now the situations aren't comparable except the point I'm making I guess is I think it's prudent to not put all your eggs in one basket and build a console around one specific thing like the cloud or Kinect because if it doesn't go as planned you're screwed until your next console comes out which could be 5 years or 10 years later and a lot can happen in that span of time especially for a financially constrained Sony when what they should be looking for is a versatile console with nothing to anchor it down. So I'd say don't gamble on anything and put your money on something a little more concrete. Or they could end up like MS did at the reveal coming off a strong generation thinking they can do no wrong and end up with shit all over them.

Technically I can sign in and have been able to since yesterday but everything PSN related is down. So I can't view the What's New stuff or the Store or sign in to Destiny.
Really? I could swear I can't log into Netflix when PSN fubars.
